Commercial Description:
The famous American poet Walt Whitman once described a particular Philadelphia sunset as consisting of, "...a broad tumble of clouds, with much golden haze and profusion of beaming shaft and dazzle." Sounds remarkably similar to our fragrant, satisfying take on the traditional Belgian white ale. Walt Wit's citrus and spice flavors deliver a transcendental drinking experience. Walt Wit is brewed with only a whisper of hops and a hint of herbs to set off the flavor of white wheat and oats.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is wheat/grain, perfumy spice, musty. Has some farmhouse traits. Taste is cardboard/burnt toast dominates the herbal/tannins, wheat/grain, perfumy spice-pepper, musty. How am I getting tannins in a Belgian Wit? Aroma was OK/nice. The taste went downhill throughout. Didn’t get any yeast character either.

12oz bottle split with JRedmond. Pours unusually light for a wit, nice white head, nice lacing. Although light and highly drinkable, simple coriander and wheat flavors are inviting and balanced. A good witbier.

Wheaty throughout with some citrus notes. Very light beer and in the glass was nearly translucent. No cloudiness whatsoever. Case purchased at the brewery.

Clear body, light lemon-citrus aroma, hints of coriander backed up with wheat. I agree with ’whaleman’, very similar in flavor profile to Kenzinger. Happily consumed @ a Memorial Day party with all four Philadelphia Brewing Co’s brands in the coolers. Walt Wit was the most popular of the bunch, I think it even went before a case of Miller Chill (purchased specifically for the women macro-drinkers).

12 oz bottle split with Pwn3d. The wit pours a clear gold body with white head, average lacing. The aroma is coriander, but very light in general. The taste is very smooth, some hops, very light.

12oz. Bottle (sates 5%ABV): Aroma of herbs, vegetables, lemon, and light spices. Poured an ugly straw yellow in color with a small to medium-sized white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of wheat, oats, lemon, light spices, and cream. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Wheaty finish. This is a Witbier???

Pours a lightly hazy yellow with a medium bubbly white head that left lacing. Aroma of wheat, cereal grains, lemon, floral and spicy notes. Flavor was spicy, peppery, lemon, some other hints of mixed citrus, wheat, floral/herbal, and cereal grains. Refreshing on a nice Memorial Day afternoon in the sun.

12oz bottle. Poured a light to medium and clear yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Bottle stated unfiltered, but this one was cristal clear. Aromas of lemons, spices, and light wheat. Tastes of wheat (more than the aroma), citrus with some spiciness. Thinner body.
