Bottle... Murky caramel-colored ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Good retention. Spicy, fruity, mildly acidic aroma – estery and phenolic and a bit funked out. Medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is sweet, spicy, herbal and also a touch acidic. Finishes crisp, tangy and spicy, but winds up minerally and bland. Thanks go out to jtclockwork for providing the bottle!

Bottle. Pours clear amber. White head. Nose and taste of bready malt, clove, cinnamon and spice. Some light sourness in finish. Lightish body.

From a bottle poured a brown color with a small amount of head. Sweet spicy malty flavor with a lingering aftertaste.

22 oz bomber from EZ. Poured an ugly brown body with more clining bubbles then a glass of soda, small to average size bubbly off white head. Aroma started off with a burst of winter spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and that faded into some rancid fruit notes that remained through out. The body is lighter and watery with soft carbonation and a slimey finish. Flavor of metallic bad fruit, sulfur, uncooked dough. BLAH, it was tough getting through 22 oz of this but like they say whatever doesn’t kill you only makes you drunker!!

Pours clear reddish brown with thin off white head, aroma has notes of some vegetal, ginger, cinnamon, some caramel, dark fruit, and toffee. Taste is a bit odd, but has notes of spice with ginger, clove, and cinnamon, some vegetal notes, almost pumpkin like, with a sweet finish. Not bad, but seems a bit off.

Cloudy amber with a nice whit head. Not much lacing but a little bit of film remain s throughout. The aroma is malty sweet with some leather and old bar room. The flavor is sweet with a hint of sourness to it. A little bit of spice. Not too impressive. I really want to like their beers but so far I haven’t been impressed

Deep amber caramel with a white head. Malty, sweet, light spice in the aroma. Flavor has a much stronger spice than the aroma let on. Quite malty, light caramel, some toasted malts, with light alcohol. Medium bodied and works well with the flavor. Really a nice winter beer.

Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a medium sized foamy beige head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was light caramel, orange, vanilla and nutmeg. The flavor was tangy, bitter and fruity with notes of caramel, orange, bread and nutmeg. The finish was long and tangy with notes of orange and caramel lingering. Medium body. Ok.

22 oz. bottle from michael-pollack- thanks again, Pollack! Pours an orange-amber that is cloudy in the middle with a small off-white head. Aroma of fruity funk (grapes, raisins, and apples mostly), nutmeg, caramel malts, ginger, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Flavor of the same fruity, funky notes, along with nutmeg, cinnamon, vegetal notes, sweet bready malts, and caramel. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, funky mouthfeel. This wasn’t quite what I expected but it was pretty interesting and tasty.

THOUGHTS: Spicy and fruity, but a little watery. It would probably be incredible if it had a fuller beer as a bade. Pleasant, but nothing super special. It wouldn’t be bad in the summer with the base beer that was used. It was a little like an herbal tea in beer format. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy, dark orangey amber or a very light brown with an average to large, off-white head that kept a nice sheet and left good lacing. The aroma wasn’t bad, but it was weak. There was nuts, fruit, Christmasy spices and more specifically, plum. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet; while the finish was moderately sweet and slightly bitter with a fairly short duration. Over all it was a little watered down. There was plum, I guess dates, sort of a fig thing, Christmasy spices, nuts and prune. The light to medium body was a bit watery with sort of soft carbonation and an ever so slightly chalky finish.
