COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a BIG beer. Mind Blowing ammounts of hops give this beer tons of flavour and aroma. Not for the faint of heart. The big mean cousin to the original Phillips IPA.

HopsandBolts (70) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 28, 2014
Pours a slightly hazy pale amber colour with over two fingers of dense white head that last for quite a while before slowly fading and leaving a considerable amount of lacing in the glass. Aroma: Hops, citrus, banana, malt, wheat, sugar. Flavours: Malt, barley, caramel, biscuit and light hops. Mouthfeel: Very smooth and creamy. Overall: Although hops comes through in the aroma, malt is the main thing coming through in flavour. I donít mind this as I like malt just as much as hops. However, someone hoping for a hop bomb might be disappointed.

Bottle. Dark yellow pour with a frothy head. Nose is hops and citrus. Flavor is medicinal with some nuttiness, hops, pine, and a bitter finish. Not a lot of malt balance here. Wouldnít drink again.

This is the second brew Iíve tried from these guys and both have been spot on. Lord itís pretty. Nice colour, great cap, with a creamy, steamed milk sheen. Beautiful lacing. Lots of malt on the nose, pine and sweet citrus too. Taste is a rich, syrupy caramel malt, a bit of spice, orange, pineapple, grapefruit rind and pine. Finish is dry with a really nice, subtle (read: dangerous) warm alcohol undertone. Great DIPA. Great label art too, and appropriate since this is a big beer.

A beautiful pour with a nice dark amber body and soft white pillowy head. As soon as uncorked the aromas started to fill the room, with citrus hops and a light caramel. Tastes begin with fairly bitter hops on the front of the tongue and then immediately slam into caramel malts, with a sweet cracker finish. Overall this might be the beer with the fastest taste transition from hops to malts as it moves through the mouth that I have ever experienced. Might be ready to declare this one the most balanced IPA I have ever drunk.

From notes: Shared from a bottle it is a golden color with a slight head, The aroma is floral and the taste is bitter with a grapefruit flavor that lingers on the palate.

From a 650 ml bottle shared in Jackson, WY. Pours a clear light copper with an off white head. Grassy nose. Flavors of grapefruit, pineapple and spruce resins. Very bitter finish.

Strong bitter. Powerful hop aroma. Heavy body for an DIPA. Sweet with deep complex malt flavor. Wheat flavors. Clean finish.

Third one from this brewery. Pours a clean amber colour with a creamy warm cap that has great retention and loads of lacing. Sweet fruity nose with grapefruit, mild grass and other citrus. Well blended fruits in the taste with nothing really standing out more than other. Not too crazy bitterness and dryness. Goes down quite well because of this, as alcohol is well-hidden and seems more like a stronger IPA (then average), than a full Imperial one.

Bottle from the LCBO. Light hazy amber with a generous white head. A fair amount of grapefruit and mixed citrus hops with a slight astringency, mild caramel malt, light booze, some grass, moderate carbonation and body, bitter and somewhat dry on the finish with a peach and grapefruit finish.

Canít believe Iíve never posted a rating on this guy before. Pours clear with coppery colour. Aroma is hops and resinous. It is made in a resinous, bitter and loaded with hops kinda style. Decent length but is very sticky. Good stuff though.
