This is a BIG beer. Mind Blowing ammounts of hops give this beer tons of flavour and aroma. Not for the faint of heart. The big mean cousin to the original Phillips IPA.

A yellow clear beer with big white head. Beer is medium sweet and medium bitter. Some breadiness and raison in there. Or it was an old bottle, or it is just not that great.

650 mL bottle. Pours pale golden with a thick white cap of lingering head. Aromas of mango, pineapple and bitter grapefruit rind with a deep caramel malt note as well. Only slightly sweet and nicely bittered. Light to moderate body with a hint of alcohol in the finish. Creamy and sticky on the palate. Not bad, but a little one dimensional. Skeptical about freshness.

650ml bottle. Pours a pale honey tone with some small floaters, and a huge frothy head of creme coloured bubbles. Lots of resinous notes up front on the nose, along with some tropical fruit, light juniper, and light caramel. Unfortunately it smells better than it tastes. Lighter bodied than I was expecting for a double IPA, with resinous/metallic hops, light sugar syrup, and citrus pith up front that leads into more pith heavy bitterness, some rough grassy microbrew pilsener like malt notes and a mildly unpleasant freezer burnt / green bean taste in the finish. A one time purchase for sure.

Bottle from lcbo. Pea gold with a white head. Aroma is overripe fruit, light veg. Medium body, medium carbonation. Light veg edge, pine, marmalade, grapefruit, woody resin... Good dry, bitter finish, well balanced. It's tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

purchased in a 650ml bottle at LCBO. I was hoping to try this beer one day and was happy to see it finally in Ontario. It was piney, fruity, bitter, really good beer!

Golden-amber in colour with a large long lasting white head, very good lacing. The aroma has lots of malts, some citrus, some pine. The flavour is again malt first, then some fruity hops. Very bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes with a very long and large bittermess.

650ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.

2014/07/08 - Pours a transparent, orange/copper colour with a large, frothy off white head that dissipates slowly an leaves ample lacing. Aroma is pine, citrus fruits, biscuit and mild caramel. Taste is light citrus, pine, and mild biscuit notes with a solid caramel backbone. Moderate to high bitterness and moderate sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium and slick with average carbonation and a bitter, earthy/metallic aftertaste. The metallic notes in the aftertaste were a little off-putting, but overall it was an enjoyable DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
