Aroma is sweet, lightly hoppy with lots of fruity character, mostly resempling apricot. Fine mouthfeel, rather dry. Flavour is powerfully hoppy, very fruity with pineapple, apricot and grapefruit. The mouthfeel is lacking a bit as the bitterness really kicks in, but it is still quite refreshing. KimJohansen (6921), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Beautiful balance between the hops and caramel flavours. Well done. JK (2949), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2008 Crisp, bitter hops. Malt with a bread, biscuit flavor. Gold color but low carbonation and now head. Drinkable, but disappointing. And there was no sign of this being a double IPA, rather than an American pale or regualr ipa. pantani (1896), Salinas, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2008 Amber color; creamy head. It has the caramel-malt aroma of a Barley Wine or American Strong Ale. Indeed the flavor plays a lot on the bold caramel, the body is medium-strong, strong bitterness; the hop feeling is dry, resiny. The final is less sweet than an American one, but the hop is equally good. Very good.
