Fruity flavour of hops and pine needles with notes of yeast and grass.
Hoppy finish. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 29, 2008 22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small and dense white head. Solid hoppy and mild pinewood note. Dry yeasty and solid hoppy aroma. Sweet malty and solid hoppy flavoured. Lasting sweet and solid hoppy and bitter finish. Smooth and easy and quite fruity hoppy. Nice one. lando7 (5), , British Columbia, Canada does not count Dec 6, 2008 This definitely has a lot of hops, but it is also well defined and complex. Beautiful balance between the hops and caramel flavours. Well done. JK (2945), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Sep 14, 2008 Crisp, bitter hops. Malt with a bread, biscuit flavor. Gold color but low carbonation and now head. Drinkable, but disappointing. And there was no sign of this being a double IPA, rather than an American pale or regualr ipa. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Aug 21, 2008 Amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is a very strong piney hoppiness with an oil quality with a faint smoke and petro quality. Taste is a caramel hoppiness, very light smoke mixed with aged hops. Interesting IIPA. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 7, 2008 Amber color; creamy head. It has the caramel-malt aroma of a Barley Wine or American Strong Ale. Indeed the flavor plays a lot on the bold caramel, the body is medium-strong, strong bitterness; the hop feeling is dry, resiny. The final is less sweet than an American one, but the hop is equally good. Very good. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 29, 2008 bottle. pretty boring beer, reasonably balanced with a solid malt profile. not terribly hoppy. pedestrian i believe was my initial impression.
