3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
65 cl bottle, Calgary, AB, Canada. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold. Thick head that settles down. Passionfruit aroma with a woody resin. Quite smooth given the strength, hop spice then a building and long resinous finish.

2oz sample, 8.5% (Coop Beer Training 5 of 7) Clear amber/golden pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. Nose is super cascadey, pink grapefruit and orange abound. Mouthfeel crisp, mild alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Taste is sweet orangey, pink grapefruit notes with the spicy tang and hoppy bite that leaves you drooling for another sip. Partyrockin’!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours very light orange, clear with no head or lacing. Nose is fruity, clementines and maybe some grapefruit. Notes of citrus, clementines, some light cereal and a good amount of grapefruit bitterness. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Body is light/medium with lively carbonation. Nice effort.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear orange with a huge white hop head. Aroma of piney hops. The taste is very vegetal, almost like cut grass. There is a bitter taste to it that isn't well balanced. Very watery feel, thin beer. Properly carbonated.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tried a small sample in a group tasting. Appearance is pretty yellow, not much lace. The head dies rather quickly. Aroma is full of hoppy fruit, actually getting some pineapple notes in there. Taste is a great bitter. I thought it had a great long finish: not a big finish but a long one that drifted along for a while. I really enjoyed this beer.

3.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Nose: hoppy citrus not strong. Pour: orange copper light haze, very nice. Taste: hoppy citrus hints of pine, lovely. Palate: light mouth feel, sits on back of tongue. Short hoppy finish, doesn’t linger like other doubles. Overall, great double ipa.. Another hit from phillips.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650 ml. (8.5%) Pours an orange/honey colour, looks more like an IPA than a DIPA. Aroma is fresh hops, grass, pepper, floral, and earthy. Taste is an immediate malty caramel and toffee, followed by a rush of hops and pine. Aftertaste is hops and honey. Watery body and highly carbonated. Sessionable, but certainly not great. Way more like an IPA than a double.
