3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark amber; big chewy malt aroma - smells a little young. Chewy palate. Herbal hops do balance out the malts (crystal noted), but there is room for settling down. A great one for the cellar - will definitely be wonderful after a two or three years.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark hazy speckled copper color with a light tan head. Light alcohol and a fruity malt character in the nose. Body is smooth with a big malt presence that finishes roasty and bitter. Nice, big barley wine.
