Smells like caramel, sweet. Pours amber with light carbonation. Taste is very malty, bread, sweet, no hops or bitterness. Medium bodied. Not very interesting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light brown pour small beige head. Light and bready aroma, light cereals, and some subtle UK hops. Lightly pungent, and very soft. Some good aromas abd flavours, but everything seems quite soft. A nice quaff, easily drinkable, low bitterness, with a solid nutty, UK hop finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from the LCBO. Clear deep amber with a one finger rocky off-white head that lingers. Nose is brown sugar and bread with just a hint of grass. Medium light caramel with only the lightest of bitter notes. Mouth is medium light and a tad thin with soft carbonation.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
473 ml can from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear deep amber with a fair light tan head.
Aroma: Earthy, British toffee/caramel, bready, some DMS (I think), maybe lightly floral.
Palate: Medium body, medium+ carbonation.
Flav.: Quite malty with some sweet caramel/toffee notes, bread crust, still has some DMS (pretty sure), a bit floral and earthy; off-dry with moderate bitterness and a decidedly malty finish.
Not for me.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught (can’t bring myself to write ’draft...’). Mid-amber with a tobacco aroma which also continues through to the taste profile. Adequately hopped and not unlike an English bitter. Certainly, whenever I drank it, it tended to have too much carbonation for the style so a spare glass was de rigeur. Not bad but struggles some way down the second division.

Bottle. Generally clear amber pour with a small tan head. Mostly malt aroma, same in the taste. Only mild hopping throughout. Still a good drinkable beer.
