2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from mix pack that stole from my parents. Honey brown with a tall fluffy cap. Soapy earth, boiled vegetables, hints of pennies. Aroma is a bit of a turnoff. Taste is earthy, leather, soapy floral, I wish I never poured this. Mild asparagus??? Do I detect a hint of peat...... I do. Bitter finish lingers long time. This beer is just mess, its all over the place and no where good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear amber. Small head, quickly disappears. Smells malt, some pine, citrus, biscuit. Taste is malty forward with lemon citrus middle and finish, some hops at the end. Nice balance and surprisingly refreshing on the palate.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear medium brown with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, grassy hops, biscuit and some nuts. Taste is caramel, grass, earthy hop flavors and toasty/biscuit malts with a slight bit of burnt bitterness on the finish. Overall a very well done esb to style.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
341ml brown bottle from the Snowcase Advent calendar. Deep gold, clear. Big white head and ok lacing. Light citrus in the nose, bit of caramel. Taste has a bit of nutty malt and caramel, citrusy hops. Bit of bitterness at the end, but finishes kind of plain. Average mouthfeel and carbonation. Nothing really thrilling me here...

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, Day 4 of the 2013 Beer Advent Calendar. Clear copper topped by a medium off white head that shows decent retention. Aroma is earthy and resinous, dried leaves. Flavour is dry nutty caramel with the same pungent earthiness leading into a moderately bitter finish. Nice.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Earthy pine and resinous hops. Clear dark amber with a light beige head. Hop bitterness up front and a lingering bitterness into the finish. Although the malts are present, the bitterness overwhelms without much flavor.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Growler from brewery. Pours copper with a thin bubbly head. The good: dry, crisp and bitter -- earthy yeast; nutty, toasted corn flake malt; floral hops. The bad: slightly sour, metallic taste; a bit thin and watery. Smells good and tastes fine at first, but gets gradually worse with each sip.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Why the hell does every Phillips beer taste the same...light and fruity with that Phillips offputting flavor, light lactose and metallic hops. Just garbage palate and a thin mouthfeel. Some good light citrus fruit notes. WTF! tastes just like the Analogue 78 Kolsch I had.
