3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 solidfunk (1790) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 5, 2013
Pretty interesting. Hoppy with nice head, carpet lacing. Orangish red. Smells hoppy at beginning, some barrel in aftertaste. A little bitter with some malt in finish as well. Average carbonation. On tap at brewery.

On tap at Alibi Room in Gastown. A reddish brown ale. Very well malted, with some hops following slightly behind. Not bad.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ferris (494) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 8, 2012

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 mdnguyen (31) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 24, 2012
The pour: a rusty brown or bronze in colour with a small off white head. The aroma: a bit mellow but certainly quite malty and sweet, some notes of floral hops, and grapefruit and citrus rind is obvious. A bit of woodiness or earthiness quickly follows. The taste: full bodied with a thick mouth feel, starts with a bit of sweetness but quickly follows with a long lasting bitterness. The verdict: a nice beer but lacks anything making it a special or unique experience.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 dfearnley (323) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 16, 2012
650mL bottle to pint glass
Aroma of pine, black currents, and a bit of sweetness. It pours a clear deep red with a nice 1cm head with some lacing. Flavours are of malty sweetness up front with a typical Phillips hoppy bitterness at the end.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 LarryBeast (273) - - APR 8, 2012
Minimal aroma heralds mild taste. Pours copper-coloured with minimal white head. Medium-bodied and carbonated with a soft finish. Pretty basic stuff, despite the promise of a cool logo and higher than normal alcohol content. Not much to celebrate or critique in this decent, somewhat pedestrian offering.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 presario (4406) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 17, 2012
Bottle. Frothy head on copper. Aroma is quiet for a big beer with touches of grain, hops and light caramel. Flavour is like the scent. Seems a bit quit fir Imperial. A bit of tinniness and linger woody hops and caramel.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 gramity (1056) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 8, 2012
Pours a clear dark maroon, with a small off white head. Smells of some sweet malt, and profound hops. Typical amber aromas here. The flavor was actually more on th hoppy side, but a tad bit bland. The hops were noticeable, but not too much else rally stood out to me. Some malt presence, but kindof weak.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 microakes (150) - CANADA - MAR 6, 2012
Light malty nose. Dark brownish red colour, tastes mostly of flowery hops, but not overbearing. Not exciting, though.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 patricks110 (1214) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 3, 2012
Pours out a dark amber with a finger of yellowish head and a bit of lacing on the glass. The nose is sweet, mildly hopped with floral and grapefruit notes. A bit of caramel sweetness in the middle with some grapefruit and a nice resinous hop throughout. Overall, this is a good beer, but somewhat underwhelming and bland for an "Imperial Red"
