Another great beer from Phillips! Has a ton of the expected Phillips hoppiness but with a much stronger malty presence. Nice!

dense beige head leaves structured lacing. red brown colour. aroma is caramel, toffee, bit of rotten fruit. taste like aroma, roasted malts with a long bitter finish, bit burnt caramel. medium body and carbonation. not as impressive as the video game. draft @ la tape

Real nice red ale IPA blend. Tasted some caramel and was nice and creamy. Actually very impressive, like the video game back in the day.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown pour with a thick, dense light beige head. Aroma is malty with some tropical fruit notes. Flavour is caramel, tropical fruit and some citrus zest. A little hoppier than expected and pretty flavourful, not bad.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. Floral, piney aroma. Nice fluffy head, pretty lacing, copper body. Refreshing, lively palate. Tastes kind of spurce-y, also like pith of grapefruit, and the taste lingers and kind of intensifies. A really nice beer!

Dark maroon body with loads of foamy off white head and nice lacing. Warm malty molasses aroma. Taste is sweet malts, candy, dried fruit, a touch of cocoa roastiness. Not bad.

Aroma is an earthiness, pinecone, passionfruit, grapefruit and lemon grass. Slight roasty malts here too. Taste is a light sweet maltiness transitioning into a full hop profile that is just like the aroma. Light tanin and grapefruit flavors stick around until finish. Pretty well balanced overall. Appearance is a clear dark amber with a medium pearl head that retains well.

ENG: 650ml bottle from Liquor Mart, Winnipeg, poured into the Teku glass. Dark red / dark amber, clear color with huge, tan head and a lot of lacing. Kicking aromas of grapefruit, tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Very intense. Reminds me of some nice, fruity IPA’s. Tastes malty / caramelish with roasty notes and hoppy bitter finish. Maybe a bit of licorice. Hops is more hidden here. In general this hops is almost imperceptible, the malt and caramel plays the main role here. Aftertaste is huge bitterness, kind of tart, but pleasant. Medium carbonation, medium to full body. Overall very nice aromas, not so much complex and intense flavors though. A bit too heavy, you can feel that high abv in it. Anyways quite good brew, but prefer more hoppiness.

PL: Butelka 650ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelana do Teku. Barwa ciemno czerwona / ciemno bursztynowa, klarowna, z ogromną, jasną pianą i sporym lejsingiem. Aromaty mocno uderzające. Grejfrut, owoce tropikalne, cytrusy, żywica. Bardzo intensywne. Przypominają mi dobre, owocowe IPA. W smaku mocno słodowe / karmelowe z nutami paloności i nieco goryczkowym, chmielowym zakończeniem. Może nieco lukrecji. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc chmiel jest mocno ukryty a na wierzch wychodzą i przeważają słody i karmele. W posmaku ogromna goryczka, może nieco cierpka, ale przyjemna. Średnie nasycenie, średnie do wysokiego odczucie w ustach.
