A Phillips favourite! Big tropical hoppy tropical flavours with a nice blend of wheat, hay, and spices after.

ENG: 650ml bottle from Liquor Mart in Winnipeg, poured into the Teku glass. Hazy straw color with medium, tan head. Aromas of yeast, wheat, a bit funky, accompanied with strong citrus hoppy notes. Tastes citrusy but bit softer than in aroma, clovy, banana, funky plus wheat. Nice delicate clovy - bitter aftertaste. A bit boozy. Medium to high carbonation, low to medium body. Overall very good, very drinkable and very refreshing wheat IPA! I am not a big fan of wheat beers, but this one really hits my taste - this means something. I like the underlying hoppy notes mixed with that funky yeast.

PL: Butelka 650ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelana do Teku. Barwa delikatnie zmącona, słomkowa ze średnią, jasną pianą. Aromaty drożdżowe, dzikusy, pszenica, mocne cytrusy. W smaku cytrusy nieco słabsze niż w aromacie, goździki, banany, dzikuski, pszenica. Przyjemny, goździkowo-goryczkowy posmak. Nieco musujące. Średnie do wysokiego nasycenie, niskie do średniego odczucie w ustach.

Pours clear (first glass) to hazy (second glass) straw with two fat fingers of fluffy white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is lemon zest, mild banana and cloves, light white pepper and bubblegum, coriander, wheaty malt. (8/10) Taste is mild to moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (8/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderately dry finish. (4/5) Iíve only ever had one other white IPA, and that one was a bit of a shelf turd (and pear, to boot). So, much like with the red IPA I had yesterday, I donít have a real deep background upon which to base a review of this. (And how many more colour variations on IPA are we gonna see? Iíve seen white, red, and black so far - whatís next? Blue? Green?) That said, though this might not be the best Phillips Iíve had, but itís up there. Itís an interesting combination of witbier and IPA characteristics, decently balanced and even-handed. Worth checking out, if you can find this limited release. (16/20)

Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours hazy gold with a small white rim. Aroma is wheat and pine hops. Taste is dry, wheat and pine hop bitterness. Nice beer, just not really my style.

Bottle into IPA glass. Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a good finger of white head. Aroma is a mix of fruity hops and spicy yeast. Taste is pretty much the same. Overall a pretty decent beer. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Sweet fruity and floral aroma; lots of green fruits and hints of butter. Exotic fruits and grape hoppiness in the flavour. Mild aftertaste with some orange zest and sweet notes.

Tap at The Alibi Room, Vancouver. Pours a hazy yellow straw with a white head. Aroma has lemon, light meat, bubblegum, pepper - it's nice. Medium body, medium carbonation. Candy, caramel, bubblegum, lemon, light veg, light spice. Sweet but nicely balanced. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of citrus, very appealing. The pour is pale yellow, with a quick dissipating head. Taste is very refreshing, hops, citrus, awesome.

Bottled at Nourish bistro Banff. Beautiful tropical fruit aroma, pours a great clear pale gold colour, peaches and cream texture and flavour and then some subtle grapefruit to finish. Perfect.
