3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Amber to light tan with nice head. Aroma is of faint hops. Tastes are quite subtle. The malt is on the lean side. Hop taste is slightly bitter and vegetal. Nice mouthfeel. Fresh but flavours are muted somehow.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange-tinted gold, low white head that persists. Very nice pungent fresh hop aroma right out of the bottle that carries over into the palate perfectly. Piney with floral notes, lightly sweet underlying malts. A little lighter in the body, a very drinkable beer with great hop flavour.

Clear and smooth IPA. Not nearly the hops presence I expected - kind of subdued.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Golden yellow. Big white head. What an IPA should look like. Aroma and taste is all hops. A smoothness in the finish that isn't off-putting. Nicely balanced. Good beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650ml bottle. Big fresh pine and resiny hops dominate. Subtler malt background, a little lighter through the body and with less punch than their (also great) Amnesiac DIPA. Smooth, easy bitterness and great quaffability. Well-crafted and delicious.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours Amber, frothy head. Aroma of pine and tropical fruit.
Taste is really piney and less so grapefruit peel. It's ok, not my fave from phillips. Everyone seems to be getting grass clipping flavours, but I didn't. Probably because I don't eat grass clippings and therefore I am unsure of the taste.

grass, grass, grass, grass, grass, not a fan of the grassy tasting IPA’s, not my type of beer or IPA

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fresh Hop beer. Pours a nice golden color with nice frothy head. Aroma of papaya, pine and lime. Taste of bitter grapefruit, a funky grassy taste. Hard to explain, the taste is not a pleasant fruit or floral taste usually associated with IPA. Kind of a herbal bitterness, not that pleasant. Could be that the freshness date has passed for the hops. Too bad, I am disappointed.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650 ml bottle. Pours a deep clear copper with full head. Big sharp aromas of hops - grapefruit and pine. Strong hop flavors as well, but very grassy with a bitter lime element. Odd.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
650 bottle to tulip, appearance is a completely transparent burnt amber with a massive white head. Aroma is piney, citrusy hops...lots of pine, lemon, lime, grapefruit, fresh cut grass...malts come out a bit with some caramel but that side of things is faint. Taste is interesting...doesn’t quite mirror the aroma and you get caramel/butterscotch then it sides to the bitter side of hop flavour but it is very fresh tasting....very planty/grassy with the usual hop citrus/bitterness flavours. Palate is clean, crisp, thin medium CO2 but lots of flavours. Overall this is a pretty good beer. Not my favoriitest bestest ever IPA but it’s interesting to see how fresh hops influence a beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, shared with my wife. Orange-tinted gold, low white head that persists. Very nice pungent fresh pine aroma right out of the bottle that carries over into the palate perfectly. Piney with floral notes, lightly sweet underlying malts. A little lighter in the body, but if anything this lends to its refreshing drinkability. The best hoppy offering I’ve had from Phillips in a while!
