This locally handcrafted ale is unfiltered and unpasteurized to enhance its character It is brewed with the finest Canadian Barley, hops, pure water and our signature yeast. Because this beer is naturally carbonated, it may have a light dusting of yeast at the bottom. Pour it slowly to leave the yeast in the bottle, or pour it in, it tastes great!

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, eggs, straw, and minerals. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, mold, and minerals, leading to a bitter finish.

Tap. Pale looking with a small head. Aromas of grapefruit and pine. Very nice. Taste is slightly bitter, some grapefruit and maybe tangerine. Really not much to it, I was expecting a punch of hops.

05-Aug-10 (341-ml bottle: Gift from SDbruboy, thanks Cliff!) Aromas of tropical fruits, grapefruit, and grass create a solid first impression for this IPA. Flavors of composted grass, dust, earth, tangerine, and grapefruit rind are pleasant. However, with a somewhat muted malt profile and unintegrated hop bitterness, the beer seems a bit hollow. Both the flavor and nose really take on strong vegetal notes after only a few minutes. Light medium in body with moderate carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. The body is hazy and pale golden in color, and is capped by nearly an inch of creamy, white foam that, as it slowly settles to a thin layer, deposits an elaborate web of intricate, patchy lace. Overall, a decent, though somewhat disjoint IPA that doesn’t destroy the taste buds with overwhelming bitterness.
