0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Yuck. Offered this by a friend, I decided to sip it a bit in order to review it on here. Aroma is savage - a blast of household cleaner, pine needles, citrus and peppermint pungency clear out anything blocking the sinuses. Flavor is sharply piney and medicinal, with an exceedingly bitter aftertaste that I was only able to wash out with a good dose of the Guinness. Rank.
To be fair, if your an IPA drinker, then I imagine it’s the ticket - not as hoppy as some, but packs a wallop. Go for it if you like this sort of thing.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2015 9.12.2014 341mL Bottle #9 Phillips Snowcase
Rerate - Beer 12 in the Phillips Snowcase Advent Calendar. Not as much fruit on the nose as when I had it on tap, but still crushable and delicious. No change to score.
500mL (Pint**) on draught at MKT on Whyte Avenue (The Ave.). Killer grapefruit, hoppy nose erupting from this foaming amber pour. Sharp hoppy overtones pronounced into a balanced, crisp finish. Fantastic.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
355 ml. bottle purchased in Ladysmith, B.C. Aroma is pine, resin, floral, hops. Drank from the bottle. Taste is hops, yeast, citrus, and pineapple. Heavy amount of yeast is evident. Nice hoppy bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation, oily body, and pretty lively mouthfeel. A nice, smooth, sessionable IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light amber pour. Aroma is grapefruit, some sweetness. Tons of grapefruit flavour, decent malt backing. Maybe a little one dimensional, but not too bad.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured this into my glass & for a moment I thought I smelled some wet west coast bud (honestly, we’re not all squares, right? There IS a link between the hop & the hemp). A really good west coast ipa. While I prefer their competition in surrey (red racer is my femme fatale) this is good stuff. Perhaps too bitter. Perhaps not juicy enough. But that skunk weed aftertaste will have you burning all night

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
transparent golden our. nice head with lacing that hugs the glass. Grassy hop nose. Bitter taste with hints of sweet citrus. Not a face blaster, but drinkable and moderate. Lovely IPA. Certainly ready for another.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear brew with a yellow/amber colour. Hoppy aroma but there is a weird cheesecake or honeyed note. I think there may have been an issue with the seal. medium body brew with a resinous/aged IPA note. Again i think this bottle was flawed.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Asahiya. Thick citrus, cream of malt soup, with candied peaches and some sweet pipe tobacco. Gold straw color, with just a very little haziness. Strong malty initial, then big fat hops / blends and balances in mid / ends with some pepper and thick final hop traces. Medium body. The hops hang on nicely. Good stuff.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(341ml bottle from LCBO) Poured a clear yellow-gold with a mid-size bubbly head, moderate retention, lace. Aroma is mild grapefruit, earthy, herbal, something which when prompted I realise was green garlic, some pale malt, a bit disappointing. Flavour follows the nose, bit of citrus hops and some earthy pine, not very resinous, that herb and garlic character again and then lots of grainy pale malt on the back without much hop bitterness to overpower it. Finishes off-dry and malty with a slight bitterness. Mouthfeel medium-light, oily, moderate carb. Kind of muddled, not quite off flavours but not very harmonious either, not sure I like the yeast or the amount of grainy character. It is not a bad IPA, but not up my alley, and apparently might be inconsistent?
