COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This locally handcrafted ale is unfiltered and unpasteurized to enhance its character It is brewed with the finest Canadian Barley, hops, pure water and our signature yeast. Because this beer is naturally carbonated, it may have a light dusting of yeast at the bottom. Pour it slowly to leave the yeast in the bottle, or pour it in, it tastes great!

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2013 Slightly hazy, dark amber IPA. Potent hoppy nose. Full flavoured, with tones of apricot. Well balanced and fresh with lots of hops, but a modest ABV. I liked it a lot. Nice sessionable IPA.

Ambrée foncé avec une grande mousse blanc. Nez d’houbln pronouncé et aussi un peu floral. Le goût est d’houblon et d’agrumes, comme la pamplemousse.

Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small pillowy white top. Aroma is citrus hops. Taste is a nice citrus hop flavouring and bitterness. Grass grains nicely balance this out.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2013 Pours a fairly clear golden colour with a nice sticky white cap over the top leaving white half way up the glass. Aromas of pine, grassy, citrus hops, and light sweet pale malts. Flavours of pine/citrus/oniony resinous West Coast hops, a strong hop bitterness with a nice touch of mild toasty notes, and malty sweetness. This is exactly what a West coast ipa should taste like.

Pours a clear yellowish gold with a huge white frothy head that last forever and leaves lots of lace. Aroma is a huge citrus, grassy burst with some pine. Taste is grapefruit and pine with a great balance of malts. Bitterness isn’t huge but it’s present and blends very well with the beer. Phillips you have yet another gem!!

Pours deep yellowish gold with a small white head. Aroma is fresh and hoppy. Lots of hop and malt flavours but not overly bitter. Crisp carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. A well balanced IPA that has arguably set the standard for western Canada.

Quite disappointing indian pale ale. Too heavy grapefruit taste and almost no aroma. Bad Palate....

Bottle@Victoria, Canada. Vibrant golden beer with strong smooth white head. The aroma is fruity with a touch of lavender and dry. Bthe flavour is very dry with a well hopped watery body and finish. Overall a nice very well hopped dry beer, plenty of hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A full-fledged hop assault on the senses, right out of the bottle. Dark yellow pour, white head. Obviously hoppy, but a little sweetness in the finish. Not much bitterness. Very well done. Phillips’ best work IMO. 052412

12 oz. can. Shared with multiple others at brew club. Pours a medium, well retained, white head, over a slightly hazy dark yellow (SRM 4) body..........nose is pine, grapefruit, toffee/caramel.....taste is pine, heavy grapefruit peel ,medium heavy toffee/caramel, lingering medium bitterness.....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, carbonation adds a light tingle. This is a typical "North American" style IPA with the usual nice balance of malts and hops and the predictable hop malt flavors and aromas. This is not to denigrate either the style or this brew, it is just a predictable result. BJCP 7/3/12/4/7
