Commercial Description:
This locally handcrafted ale is unfiltered and unpasteurized to enhance its character It is brewed with the finest Canadian Barley, hops, pure water and our signature yeast. Because this beer is naturally carbonated, it may have a light dusting of yeast at the bottom. Pour it slowly to leave the yeast in the bottle, or pour it in, it tastes great!

Visitors or residents of BC can’t do much better in the IPA category even if Seattle or Portland residents might scoff. Not as strong in the nose or palate as Phillip’s Amnesiac 2IPA but more quaffable to boot. Hints of lychee and other fruits. Best not served too cold of course.

[1528-20080712] 355mL bottle. Muted orange hops aroma has fruity leafy hints. Hazy, orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Hoppy navel orange flavour. Medium body. Solid IPA, not too assertive.

My bottle, shared with Blankboy and Hogtown Harry, courtesy of a trade with Joe McPhee. Nice hop hose, sharp, fresh, and citrusy. Light orange, bubbly white head. Lovely balanced citrus hop / malt taste - right on style. Hops are slightly sharp. Soapy light mouthfeel - thin but appropriate. Better balanced than the excellent Double IPA. A real pleasure to drink.

Bottle at Volo. Clear golden-amber with a small white head. Resiny hop nose, lots of orange blossom and caramel malt - nice! Flavour holds a solid balance of grapefruity hops and sweet malt. A very good IPA - I’ll be enjoying more of these at Volo come patio season.

Bottle courtesy of Irondjin: Poured an orangey color ale with a super big foamy head with perfect retention. Aroma of bitter hops with strong sour notes. I am guessing we have an infection issue here which may explain why the head is still perfectly in place ten minutes after I have poured the beer. The label mention that these beers were heavily hops to make all the way to India without going down the drain – well seems like this one didn’t make it across the country without getting infected. The brewery is usually reliable so I will have to rerate when I get the chance.

Bottle. Pours a light orange-golden body with a small white frothy head. Yeasty cheese aroma along with the expected fruity hops and pine. Fruity and hoppy flavours with a touch of bread malt balance. Caramel sweetness towards the finish. Pretty solid. Sampled at Volo on April 29, 2006.

Pours a hazy copper color with a white head. Aroma is caramel, with some grassy, citrus hops. Flavor is malty with a nice bitter grassy finish.
