3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Martin243 (179) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2011
Had the opportunity to drink this stuff while on holiday in B.C. My favourite of the trip, I even brought a bottle home from my final six-pack for my fellow beer enthusiast Mal to try, and he was suitabily impressed. I love this style, and I’m glad we’re starting to get stuck in in England. If you like Summer Wine Diablo and Thornbridge Jaipur, you’ll like this.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 GregClow (2645) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 9, 2006
Bottle at Volo. Clear golden-amber with a small white head. Resiny hop nose, lots of orange blossom and caramel malt - nice! Flavour holds a solid balance of grapefruity hops and sweet malt. A very good IPA - I’ll be enjoying more of these at Volo come patio season.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 piscator34 (1582) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 10, 2006
Dark gold in colour with somewhat low carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, light pine, and a hint of black pepper. Heavy in the mouth with some bready overtones. Loads of assertive pine resin flavor. The citrus element returns mid-sip but fades again, leaving the pine, some chunky bitterness, and some leafy green hop flavor. Not very balanced, but I don’t mind a hop-ladden beer like this. Thanks Oakes!

My bottle, shared with Blankboy and Hogtown Harry, courtesy of a trade with Joe McPhee. Nice hop hose, sharp, fresh, and citrusy. Light orange, bubbly white head. Lovely balanced citrus hop / malt taste - right on style. Hops are slightly sharp. Soapy light mouthfeel - thin but appropriate. Better balanced than the excellent Double IPA. A real pleasure to drink.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Sammy (5885) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 3, 2006
Juicy and well malted IPA. Light orange with very thick head. Lace in glass is abundant.Hoppy and some yeast aroma. Nice bitter and also juicy. Smooth and easy drink. Not big and very pleasant, an astringency that matches meat
3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 natrat (66) - Ucluelet, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 4, 2005
Big pour, tall, loose head. Hops aroma is a bit overwhelming...grapefruit and pine smell fountains out of the glass. Amarillo hops? Pale amber colour is disappointing...would like to see more colour in this robust beer. Mouthfeel is nice...not overthick and not watery at all. Hops taste is huge...this beer has way more bitterness than "hop-monster" beers. I love it with fish.

Thanks to Blankboy. Appearance: golden orange, hazy, snow white head, lots of visible carbonation. Aroma: super mango, strawberry, pineapple, a little yeast and some mild orange. Flavour: lots of initial carbonation, malt, pine, deliciously refreshing orange with a long bitter finish. Lovely.
