Foncer, beaucoup de chocolat... manque un peu de corps mais c est une bonne porter quand meme.
Dark, lots of chocolate... lacking in body but still a decent porter.

Snowcase day 14. Pours a clear dark brown color with a nice frothy brown head that leaves lace. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa powder and a creamy latte. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate and a nice dark cocoa bitterness on the finish. Overall a nice chocolate porter with a smooth chocolate flavor that blends well with the roasted malts.

Bottle - Sweet chocolate nose. Jet black with a thick tan head. Lots of chocolate and some roast malts. Finished slightly bitter sweet. Very nice beer, but pretty much all chocolate and nothing else.

Dark brown slightly illuminated by light. Rich chocolate nutty smell. Good chocolate taste. Smooth and creamy hazel-nutty. It rinses quick.

Tap, brewery. Pours a clear dark brown with a small wispy off-white head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is super chocolaty and sweet, it smells like dessert in a glass. The flavor is super solid, great milk chocolate, a bit on the sweeter side perhaps, but I sort of expected that. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. I’m a sucker for Porters with chocolate in them, and this one certainly delivers.

Dark brown pour, creamy brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate and a very light underlying roast character. Flavour is cocoa powder, and milky chocolate, again light roast. On the sweet side.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark in colour, with good light tan head, dissipates quickly as you drink. Deep notes of chocolate aromas, slightly live on the pallet with great chocolate flavours. Finish is sweet, but not overwhelming.

Strong chocolate and vanilla aspects. Distinctive but not problematic vanilla aftertaste

Pours a lovely black with a short-lived but foamy tan head. My glass was a poor choice; only picking up a bit of coffee. Taste, thought; the taste is an explosion of chocolate and coffee, rich and creamy and lingering with pleasant bitterness on the back of the tongue. I’ve liked a lot of offerings from Phillips, and this is yet another one to their credit.
