2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 solidfunk (1786) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 8, 2013
Pretty good for a lager, but not the greatest Czech pilsener I’ve had. Actually has distinguishable character beyond the chemical finings and such. Pours golden clear. Aroma of slightly candied malt. Abrupt, crisp finish without much of the sour aftertaste a lot of lagers have. On tap at brewery.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 WheatKing (703) - Oak Bay, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 20, 2013
On tap.If I were to compare this with other beers I’ve had it would be more similar to the American Dark Lagers... i didn’t really pick up many floral qualities, just grass. The beer was pretty heavy, metallic, corny. Not my kind of craft beer, made more for people with different tastes.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 andrewturba (452) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 13, 2012
Pours a clear yellow/gold colour with respectable soapy white head that laces the glass nicely. Aromas of pale malt, floral hops. Flavours is crisp, malty, saz like bitterness. Not a bad beer, way more than a basic lager but doesn’t quite hold its own in the bohemian pilsners.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 LarryBeast (271) - - AUG 10, 2012
The only lager I drink somewhat regularly. I usually want more flavour and substance from my beers, but sometimes it’s worth having one that slips into the background and won’t overpower the food I’m eating. This light, crisp, bready/doughy, slightly lemony lager went well with today’s pastrami on rye.

Definately the best in the Showcase. Pours a bright golden in the body with a sweet, crisp and lightly fruity nose. Sweet and crisp taste with a refreshing finish. Light citrus fruits and a grassy hop. Overall, nothing much, but good.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 pintbypint (1973) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 4, 2012
341ml brown bottle. Clear gold pour, average sized white head, not much lace. Nose is grainy, some lemon hops, and Phillips house aroma. Flavour is grainy, a bit toasty, light lemon hops, slight grass. Aftertaste is husky grain and nicely grassy, a low but noticeable bitterness at the end. Lightish body, good level of carbonation. Doesn’t quite fall into Pils territory, more like premium lager, still has some drinkability to it, but I would not go out of my way to get it again.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Cirrhosis (1071) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 30, 2012
Beer looks like a bottle beer because i have no desire to pour this into my glass. Wow!! My nose just got raped by the bastard child of a rotten apple and grainy malts. Grassy hops, and some very mild skunk round out the aroma. sigh what am i doing to my body? Taste is better, not rotten apple, loads of bready malts with a slightly bitter hops mostly metallic in style. a sulpher/rotten egg flavor is hiding in the back ground. YUCK!! Thick! Not a bad yard work beer better then your average macro, but this like all the other beers in this verity pack it sucks.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 reebtogi (3259) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 19, 2012
341ml bottle pours a pale straw color with a finger of white head which leaves very little lacing. Aroma is cereal grains and mild grassy hops. Taste is light grainy malt sweetness with a mild grassy hop bitterness. Light bodied and adequately carbonated. Only a little better than a typical macro lager.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jwnield (14) - - APR 15, 2012
Probably my least favorite Phillips product, but it’s a decent lager. Pours golden straw with a foamy head. Smooth, but nothing exciting. I’ll drink it when I get it in the Phillips mixer.

A Classic Gold Lager, light white head with smooth sweet malt flavours. Crisp finish, clean and lightbodied. Again not really my style but this is a really nice craft lager if you are looking to tip a pint.
