Admin Notice (Capflu): Slipstream Cream Ale is 2008's version of Draught Dodger without the Maple Syrup (confirmed June 9, 2008). I suspect they are using up the last of the old labels.

Pours clear amber with small tight white head. Aroma of old stale hops which fortunately don’t come through in the taste. Mild malty taste, slight bitter finish.

Pours a clear light brown. Musky earthy aromas with some dried fruit as well. Smooth textured. Some sweetness followed by a toasted malt finish. Decent.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. This was quite nice. Oaky with notes of butterscotch. Very enjoyable.

Much better than a Sleeman’s Cream...as if that’s saying anything. Anyway, this was better than expected. Dark ruby body with nice frothy white head and some lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, dried fruit. Taste again is fairly sweet and malty. Not very complex, but a solid session ale for sure.

From the bottle. Caramel, a powder I attributed to chocolate malt (?) at the time, mildly sweet, quite smooth. I’ve noticed this style is quite a rarity for some European raters... you’re not missing much.

Le couleur et de cuivre, presque orange. Une petite mousse. Une bonne arôme pour le style, du malt torréfier. Il y a un goût de malt et caramel. Pas mal légèr, mais très bonne pour le style.

Bottle 34,1 cl. Courtesy of saxo. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Odd aroma of ripe straw. Medium body, some caramel and again straw. No hops. An odd one. 040113
