3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
In short: A sweet blond IPA, not-so-rye, not-so-hoppy, not-so-good, not-so-bad.
How: Bottle 220z, consumed a few months after received from Savy1982, thanks Kyle.
The look: Cloudy golden blond body topped by a medium off-white head.
In long: Shy but inviting nose bready honeyed cereals, some fresh rye bread and oranges. Taste is a little less rye-forward, quite a bit of sweetness, a slice of rye-bread covered with honey, dry bread crumbs, a good amount of hops, grassy, orange peels. Medium bitterness. Not enough rye-forward to please a rye-beer lover (like me) and a little too sweet for my taste in IIPAs. Basically not very interesting, but nothing bad either. I like to drink beer at home, I do that very very often but I like to think of myself as a casual drinker, mainly because I donít wear a bowtie when, and most of the time no pants either.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Light hazy golden, thick white head. Intensely hoppy aroma, citrus, pine, guava. Hop dominated palate as expected, but lacking somewhat in pleasant aromatics, heavy on the bitterness to the point of scorching the palate a little. Not enough malty sweetness to balance thing out. Iím pleased that the annoying powdery aspect that I find in many Phillipsí brews was not found here, but a little disappointed that this beer didnít holdup othe non-impy Krypton, which I really like.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
650mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Nose of relatively restrained (for a IIPA with rye) on the rye notes and citrus hops, though these are really the only two notes that characterize the aroma - and quite a pleasant one. Flavour packs more of a punch, with very skunky hops due to the rye; thereís a bit of orange marmalade as another reviewer denoted, with a light malt backbone that doesnít do much. Overall, certainly a bigger wallop than the regular rye PA, but this is inferior - just more skunky and rye-dominated. Gets pretty harsh the more you drink, in an undrinkable way. Decent, but I was hoping for something more "round" and balanced.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. I like Krypton and normally but this big brother is even better. Description says everything is doubled but the hops come out the winner. Golden amber with a full head. Interesting aroma may be a product of the rye. Flavour is hops all the way through and a nice malt base with the welcome rye.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(650ml bottle) Purchased at Liquor Plus Douglas. Pours a medium frothy white head atop a orange body. Nose of sweet oranges. Flavour is very marmalade, good tart counter-balance. Lasting bite through the finish. I suppose I like the original Krypton more but this strengthened version is rather enjoyable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that retains well and leaves a bit of spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is very pleasing with some fresh floral notes and hints of citrus. Taste is a big bold citrus and pine hop bitterness with very little malt sweetness and a bit of alcohol noticeable in the finish. Medium to heavy bodied with a modest amount of carbonation. A decent DIPA, but a little bit harsh on the palate. Can only give a light recommendation.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not bad, but definitely misses the mark. Pours a bright golden yellow body with a thin and dissipating beige head. The nose is fresh, floral, zesty and is definitely the best part of this beer. The taste is rather bland and flat with light caramel and rye notes, lemon and grapefruit, mild resin and sweetness. A bit bland overall though. The body is a bit messed with a lack of a resinous smack. Overall, a good brew but boring!

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Earthy hops, spicy, citrus and pine. Clear copper with nice medium head. Upfront some hop sweetness and then right to the bitterness, much like itís little brother. Nice and thick on the tongue, not bad but too much bitterness.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Why did I just open a 650ml 8.5% bottle at 10:00pm. Light amber body with tall white fluffy crown that reduced to a nipple. Big hoppy aroma floral to almost fuzzy peach, canít hit the rye yet. Rye is in the taste but its being obliterated by the hop. This drinks easy and fast. Lively carbonation tickles the throat and warms the stomach. After taste is dry and dusty. Fuzzey peach candy, earth, slight pine. All hail hypno toad!!! I keep hitting elements of bread but its hard to find. Crap Iím three quarters done and its only 10:11........My brain feels all warm and fuzzy. There are more flavours here but I canít but a name to them. Is this a good beer.....maybe......easy to drink and tasty..... yes......... does it hold up against other IIPAís/Rye PAís...... noooooooooooo not even close. hahahahaha and Iím done the beer before the end of Futurama, its new record!!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy orange with thin head. Nose is citrus and some of the rye notes come through. Citrus hoppiness, mid range malt. Could use some more sweetness. Some alcohol in the finish.
