Clear gold colour with thin fast fading white head. Yeasty and tangy pilsen malt nose. Mild grassy malt taste with mild malt finish.

650ml bottle pours a slightly cloudy pale golden color with a 2 finger white head that settles quickly leaving very little lacing behind. Aroma is yeasty with some light fruits and grains. Taste is big malt and fruity sweetness with some yeast and a mild hoppy finish. Light to medium body with enough carbonation to leave a pleasing sensation on the tongue. Overall, a pretty decent tripel style ale.

Bottle. Sourish, fruity aroma. Cloudy yellow. Buttery, sweet flavors. An aftertaste that disappears at light speed. Mild mouth feel. A very very innocuous tripel. Dull.

Bottle. Poured a clear light orange color. The head was off white, a few fingers high and reduced to a lasting thin film. Cereal grain and whiffs of pear and clove. Light to medium bodied and delicately sweet with a modest warming alcohol effect. Unripe apple, biscuity malt, and subdued spice flavors.

(Bottle) Pours dark yellow to golden. The aroma holds candi sugar, apples, marzipan, grapes, some pears and spicy hops. Bit herbal. The flavour is near medium sweet and light bitter with notes of pears, apples, candi sugar, marzipan, herbs, spices and a tiny touch of phenols. The mouthfeel is light sticky. Some alcohol. Medium bodied.

Rated in Oct 2010. Thanks to Brad for this disaster. Ok golden beer with some light floaties, a small bubbly ring and no lacing. Aroma...... what is this? Syrup? sweet sugar, raw sugar, fake apples, light Belgian remnants...? This tastes like watery shit. Strange chemicals, odd bitterness... Iím not bothering drinking anymore of this. Lightly drying, sweet and barely drinkable, minor bitterness and a weak pepper. Lots of yeast. Sticky feel... barely faintly vaguely a triple. Not a good beer.

Colour: Yellow with low and spoty head. Nose: Rich and bountiful yeast, cooked tomato, mint hint, gingerale. Taste: Sour cream early, leading to pound cake and puffed wheat mid-palate. A late surge of vanilla yogurt and druken hops finish things off. Peculiar and distinct.

This beer was crap, from it clear yuck gold body and no cap to its overly sweet fake taste, I canít find one good thing to say about it. Aroma was very strong with to much apple to mild of a yeast/wheat component and a yuck aroma I canít pin point. Flavor is way over the top sweet and once again taste like apple. I canít taste any of the Belgium yeast, canít taste alcohol but my stomach is getting warm. Some spicy notes where tasted toward the end. This beer was crap and when compared to others of the style it is supreme crap, what the hell was Phillips thinking actually releasing this to the public, there stock just went way down in my books.

Bottle. Thanks to Cole for the share. Pours murky yellow/orange, thin white head, poor lacing. Nose is vague citrus and hot metal, absolutely no Belgian yeast character, some light alcohol smell here too, especially as this warms up. Flavours are more hot metal, navel oranges, light spiciness. Ooof... Pretty dreadful.

Pours slightly oronge with a very thin head. Aroma is sweet with the distince aroma of belgian yeast. Flavours nice. malty, with notes of caramel followed by raisins and plumb. However there is a very metalic flavour in the finish. Not bad.

Where did this come from? BC, actually, but I was shocked on the first few sips! I canít quite get the whole nose but itís very much like a beer with this oneís namesake; heavy and yeasty, matls are sweet and secondary. Poured with just a bit of head, not too much lacing but a really nice coppery orangy colour. Itís sweet with the yeast flavour coverying and bubbling up your mouth, There is the important points for a belgian and this really does a good job, especially considering the price, which is exorbatantly taxed in BC.
