Sweet ale with a hint of watermelon. Refreshing on a hot day, but wouldnít be my first choice.

Mild lager. Some wheat, some rye. Watermelon on the back end. Nothing spectacular here. Move along.

I remember trying to brew a watermelon beer back in my home brewing days and falling short, so I always have to try one when I see one. The aroma was pretty nice, it is unfiltered and the bottle suggests gently rolling it to awaken the yeast. It pours a cloudy dark gold and has little head. The flavor is mild with a decent amount of watermelon flavor but the base isnít very good and it doesnít blend very well. Iíll keep looking.

12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold. Aroma: Sour. Sour sour sour. No watermelon, but a definite sour, soapy smell. Appearance: Super super foamy head. It took a while to pour this one because, even slowly and at a near 179 degree angle, it foamed up really fast. Hazy dark yellow body. Visible sediment. Taste: Oh wow, not what I was expecting after that terrifying aroma. Really nice subtle watermelon on the arrival backed up by fresh bready yeast. Nice and refreshing! (That aroma is still terrifying though). Palate: Short finish. Light bodied, not watery. Overall: Pretty nice beer. That aroma is scary, but this is a pretty nice one. I usually like fruity beers that leave no doubt what the fruit is, and honestly, had I not known this is a watermelon ale, I wouldnít have been able to guess the fruit. Pretty decent brew, though!

Bottle; Poured hazy amber/golden. Aroma: Artificial flavor. Flavor: Starburst taste, artificial candy and extremely watered down, not a good combo.

12oz bottle. Rating #12. Light golden color with a white head. Light fruit and watermelon aroma, tropical. Flavor was mild watermelon and wheat with more of a tropical flavor layered in there with the watermelon. (2712)

12oz bottle pours clear gold with semi loose off white head. The aroma offers up vague melon notes and a bit of bubble gum sort of wheat notes. The taste hits with fruit and modest carbonation enhanced tartness and a note that must be water melon. Behind these flavors is a sense of wheat and esters. Hmm. Not working for me.

Hazy pale golden color out of the bottle with a fizzy white head. Watermelon Jolly Rancher nose. Flavors of watermelon and green apple, with lots of sugary sweetness, much like a Jolly Rancher candy. Some citrus bitterness under the sugar sweetness, which gets more bitter and a little chemical in the finish. Odd beer.

Bottle; poured a dirty, dark gold color with an average sized off white head. Aroma of wheat, candy, and fruit. Flavor was all over the place, making a rather poor final product. Fairly strange, with a decent sweetness that is sadly the star of the show. Better in theory.

12 ounce bottle. Thereís a fresh, slightly jolly-rancher smell along with some malts in the aroma. Itís a blush orange color, and there wasnít much more than a film of foam at the top. The taste was subtle watermelon, and it mixed really well with the traditional malted ale flavors. It was distinctively and gracefully summer-fruit refreshing, and still not so overpowering that it fell into artificial flavoring territory (Iím looking at you, Leinie Summer Shandy).
