Bottle. Clear yellow with a medium sized diminishing white head. Light candy, syrup, mild cardboard. Very short and sweet finish. Medium body, little bitterness, medium sweet, watery texture. Uninspiring as expected.

Bottle 33 cl from Le Palais de la Bičre - Aix-les-Bains (F). Standard blonde, short white head. Malted aromas, cabbage, corn, peanuts. The taste is slight, malt rassi, wet cardboard, hay, cabbage, slightly bitter, but the phoenix is in low flyovers.

33cl can bb12/2014 courtesy of bonus country trading tderoeck, merci! Bland hay-coloured pour; quite drinkable international pale lager with sweetish malt and corn notes, an empty soggy middle, sharp carbonation and an affirmative, metallic-bitter, but still recognisable hop-bitter finish.

Pale straw pour with thin white head. Malty, skunky aroma. Not much going on with the taste - sweet, malty, typical of the style and not great

Thanks to Bart for the beer. Shared with Wim at his place. Clear blond colored beer with small white head and almost no carbonation. Herby hopped aroma. Medium sparkling palate. Finish is sweet (soda like) slight bitter herby.

Bottle from Rehills Newcastle. More of a nostalgia trip for me as my honeymoon beer. Tastes less good on a rainy night at home than by a pool in Mauritius.

Pours a clear but quite pale golden color, topped with a couple of finger of white head and poor retention. The aroma is easily picked up, slightly dusty, malts and some biscuity aroma as well. The taste is slightly soury and sweet at first, weird, followed by balanced body. The finish is slightly bitter. Not very nice to be fair.
