June 2009: Brown 330ml bottle obtained from ’Beers of Europe’. Poured into a stemmed pilsner glass, it looked the part. Clear, bright golden lager colour with a good white head that hung around for a while before turning into a wispy covering and collar. There was some lacing as the beer was consummed. Very little in the way of aroma, some grassy notes but not a lot of anything (like most lagers/pilsners). The taste was different to your normal lagers, this was woody, earthy and interesting. It was dry and refreshing, had a hidden depth of character and suprised me in its complexity. One of the best lagers I’ve had since I started reviewing on this site. Glad I made the effort to try it, highly recommended.

6 pack cans brought to me by a friend from Mauritius. Not much to say about this. Poured slightly golden, almost transparent. Malty aroma and flavor. Regular ol light lager. Excited to try it though. Not something I can pick up everyday.

Clear pale golden colour with tiny white head. Malt, grain and some sweetness in aroma. Malt, corn and mild fruity sweetness in flavour. Not an unforgettable moment but not that bad either.
