Cask. Clear golden with a small white head. Wood, dry flowers, honey, light caramel, hay. Light/medium body, some sweetness, long light/medium bitter and dry finish. Not too crisp, sits a bit heavy.

Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 23 Apr 2012. Poured a clear, dark golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of light citrus, passionfruit and caramel. Malt forward flavours, with some soft fruit and biscuit. Finish was peal, grass and chewy grain.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2015 Drinks well all the way down. Nice bitter taste with good malt flavours. Hint of caramel and fruit. Best bitter in a while. Tried almost a year after first tasting. Really still great. + 0.2 as my tasting has improved with experience. Recommend.

Cask at JDW, very ;lively - needed multiple glasses pulled to get one full one, then deep gold with a lasting white head and a biscuit, peach and grapefruit nose. Initrial light sweetness is swept away by a drying citrus and malt body, hints of bread, grapes and grapefruit. Very nice.

BlackHaddock (4400) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2014
Hand-pulled pint in The Shrewsbury Hotel (Spoons) on 24th Feb 2014. Light amber brew with a deep and lasting white crown. Decent blend of aromas and flavours: floral and fruity nose with a semi-sweet malty backbone. The taste was also based around a maltiness, biscuit and bread notes came to mind. Again there is a floral and fruitiness within the beer, slight citrus feel too. Nice balance, nothing overpowering or special tasting, just a good beer from start to finish.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Thin on the palate particularly for a 5% ABV beer, flowery, sweet and rather dull. Not great.
