Over the years Reefton has given birth to many a bright idea - the ’Town of Light’ had the first public supply of electricity in th Southern Hemisphere - but no less illuminating was the Racecourse Brewery which wishes to advise of our FIRST CLASS GOLDEN ALE.
Of regular body, brewed from the very best malt and hops procurable, and no care and attention spared to produce and article of truly high quality, which for sparcle, purity and relish cannot be surpassed.

nice enough golden ale with tasty fruit, malt etc. etc. run of the mill session ale, and i wouldn’t complain.

Clear dark amber in colour with thick creamy white hea. Big malty biscuity aroma. Roasted biscuit flavour with crispmouthfeel. Fairly safe to meet local demand.

Plenty of sparkle in this golden ale. A bright white head that subsides leaving a film of head on top. Some hop aroma, but golden malt seems to dominate the aromas. Bready and sweet on the nose. Pleasant enough.
Soft and slightly sweet. A touch of mandarin and cereal flavour. This beer is light, and quaffable with lively carbonation. Not an academy award winner, but yeah, not bad at all.
