(Cask): Clear golden in colour with a small white head. Citrus and hoppy aroma. Some sweet malt and citrus hops in the taste with a quite mildly bitter finish. Nothing special but it’s refreshing.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask (handpump) at the Kings Arms, Norwich on 1 December 2011. Limited notes as I was convinced I had reviewed this before. Very pale in colour – more straw than gold. Follows the usual Phoenix blueprint of zingy citric hops on the nose and palate. Clean and refreshing if rather light in the mouthfeel department and a but short of depth in the flavour. Decent quaffer but not that much to it.
