3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fine malt nose and some fruit, auburn, small toffee head, loads of lace. Flavour is a full on malt, red plums some woody notes. Light bodied, well balanced, fine bitterness, too easy to drink. Terrific session!

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cask at Cloisters. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of wet hay, caramel and musty honey. Similar flavours of caramel, hay, honey and wet cardboard this time. Nicely dry with a long dry linger, however, this doesn’t redeem this beer.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask conditioned @ JDW, Soton. Good Citric hop aroma and some light maltiness. Could do with more assertive hop body rather than the balanced caramel which makes it seem disjointed,

Cask, Hoylake Lights. Golden with thin white head. Appropriately named as this is very workmanlike, and while solid enough is lacking in any real finesse. Next please, don’t let your work boots muddy the carpet on the way out.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2005 Cask @ The Wharf, Aalborg, DK. Pours a golden amber colour with a small white head. Fresh, sweetish hop aroma. Flavour is a slightly bitter hoppy one. Slightly malty finish. Feels rather watery, unfortunately. 26-09-05.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On cask at Stalybridge Buffet Bar October 20, 2013 - Clear amber beer, soft lacing white head. Nose was grassy, a bit floral, but in a washed down sense. The taste was okay, the grassiness overwhelmed it though, nothing overly offensive - just not my cup of tea.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
First tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in January 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear orange amber in colour with a thick white head. Strong marmalade notes in the short but intense aroma. Good creamy mouthfeel and decent lacing. Pale malt complexes leads to a biscuit flavour with citric fruit notes of orange peel and pink grapefruit. Dry dusty hop resins give a floral bitter aftertaste. Finish is slightly malty with pithy citrus fruit evident in the mouth. An ok session bitter but nothing exceptional.

Handpulled cask at JDW Harrow earlier this year. Pake brown with a white head. A vert well balanced bitter with complex citrus hop flavours. Very enjoyable.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask (handpump) at the Devonshire Cat, Sheffield. Saved from mediocrity by a faint fruitiness before the sudden finish. Otherwise, a rather chewy little bitter.
