First tasted this at Gabriels, Paisley in July 1999. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear amber red in colour with a thin white head. sweet smell of damp raisins in the short aroma. Thin but creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a moist maltloaf base with raisins, sultanas and dates. Slight prickle of dusty hops gives a short bitter aftertaste. Finish is sweet and malty with strong biscuity overtones present in the mouth. An ok session bitter.
