First tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) in August 2007. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Sweet note of fruity malt in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a tea biscuit and juicy pink grapefruit flavours evident in the mouth. Short note of hop resins give a dusty bitter aftertaste, quick in duration. Finish is slightly malty with dry citric fruit notes present. An ok session bitter.

Cask at the Draft House. Pale amber pour with a light white head. The nose is moderately bitter with a little bit of light sweetness. A touch of soft sweetness and a bit of fruity malt. Soft fruit and a little bit of stewed grain. It’s a yeast forward sort of bitter but it’s still quite good A little bit of toffee and some herbal flavour.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ladnewton (1142) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2009
Cask at the Pembury Tavern on 21st July 2009. Amber with short-lived off white head. Citric hops in main kick, otherwise on the sweet side. Quite a viscous, clingy texture with a feeling that the beer wanted to "glue" itself to the roof of the mouth.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rune (6125) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2009
Half pint, cask in prime condition and served at the right drinking temperature at The Castle, Holborn. Slightly cloudy amber in body colour. Just a line of bubbly head. Sweet malt-fruity to the nose. Fruity hops to the flavour with malts beneath, ending with a bitter twist. Smooth. Typical for the style (London, 03.08.2009).
