Cask; Occasional.
Brewed in the style of a traditional IPA, this robust, golden ale has a full hop aroma, powerful and full-bodied palate and plenty of hop flavour in the long, lingering finish. Hops used: Cascade, Mount Hood

Cask at Charlies. Clear amber coloured with a small white head. Fruity aroma of hops and grass. Fruity flavour of hops, grass, caramel and flowers with notes of pine needles. Hoppy finish.

Draft at Charlie’s bar. Pours dark golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, malt. Flavour is light sweet and bitter, could have more bitterness. Light bodied and soft carbonation.

Cask at Hilary Step, Manchester. Gold with thin white head which disappeared while 2/3 of the pint was still left. Aroma is quite sweet and fruity... strawberry pie... Taste is nicely bitter, grapefruit, kiwi, pine, with good amount of malt to round it out and some discernible alcohol. Pine lingers a bit too heavily on the aftertaste. Overall its got good points but doesn’t quite come together for me.

On cask at The Heriot-Watt Beer Festival. Pours a golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of pine, passion fruit and caramel. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Quite dry also.

Light copper colour. Floral hop aroma. Some fruity sweetness, a touch of apple. Quite an intense level of hops. Nicely dry.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Clear goldne colour, off-white head. Nose iscitric, light malted. Flavour is malty, citrus, slightly flowery, bit of rubber. Slightly bitter finish. The last bit of the cask.

Cask @ The 3 Judges. Fruity hoppy malty aroma. Golden brown colour, reasonable head. Fruity malt flavour, bitter aftertaste. OK it was at the end of the cask but this I think is more a bitter than an American Pale Ale.

On cask at Odiham and Greywell Cricket Club. Poured a deep golden colour with a very hoppy aroma. The beer is very full bodied also which certainly ticked all the right boxes for me and proved another very drinkable pint from those at Phoenix.
