Brewed in the style of a traditional IPA, this robust, golden ale has a full hop aroma, powerful and full-bodied palate and plenty of hop flavour in the long, lingering finish. Hops used: Cascade, Mount Hood

Cask at Ealing beer fest 2009. Golden pour with light head on top. A nice hoppy aroma. Hoppy, citrus, slightly bitter taste. Not bad but this ainít no US style beer IMO.

Cask in the alfread herring. Alround rating: Biscuity british malt, grassy small lemon hop character, dry bitterness. Too british in style, needs more american hop late additions.

The Figure of Eight (JDW), Broad St, Birmingham. Iíve been after this one, and itís good but lightweight. Dusty red amber with a slender white rim. Musky hopleaf aroma with a good squeeze of citrussy resins. Faint Brewdog Punk IPA-like lychee and mandarin notes with biscuit. Quenchingly hoppy, but was expecting more. Punk IPA shandy.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol (JDW) 19/04/09. Deep gold with a frothy white head. Decent hoppy, aroma with plenty of citrus and orange blossoms and a touch of caramel. Flavour started sweet, with some marmalade, more citrus hops and a very long, dry finish. Very enjoyable.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2009 Gravity cask at the London Drinker Beer Festival. Gold with a lively white head. Great beer to start the festival off. Cascade hops in the aroma and taste. Orangy citrus notes and silky hop oils helped this slip down easily. I couldnít resist a second!

Cask (handpump) @ The Fringe, Manchester, England M4.
Clear light to medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, flowers, citrus, grapefruit, toffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (290708)

Cloudy light amber, lasting large-bubbled white head. Straight orangey aroma muddled in heavy yeastiness that procures lots of dusty breadiness. Not so easy to drink as its ABV might indicate. Medium-bodied or even thicker, rather powdery palate. Still a tasty ale, but not so hoppy really.

Amber with some suspended particles. Short but dense head, which goes quickly. Very perfumed and flowery in the nose. Bit thin, acidic with a very dry end. Decent bitter. Simply citrus in the mouth.
