Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) in October 2012. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear gold in colour with a thin white head. Hint of crisp green apple in the very short aroma. Resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives a full juicy fruit base of citrus flavours with kiwi and gooseberry to the fore. Dusty hop resins present in the long dry bitter aftertaste. Finish is very dry with astringent tart grapefruit rind giving mouth puckering pith left in the mouth. An ok session Blond Ale for hop lovers but not a session ale for me - far too astringent.

Cask conditioned handpump Cordwainer Northampton 16/10/ A golden beer with a nice bright white head and lace. A citruusy hoppy beer with a touch of butterscotch. Pleasantly frsh. Flavours are fairly crisp but don’t expand into anything too exciting. Decent only.

Cask Lloyds Carlisle. Lovely dusty gold colour. Floral aroma with a hint of sweetness. Soft and smooth on the tongue with a very satisfying finish, where some bitterness just creeps in at the end. Blackcurrant notes very late on, unusually. Very enjoyable.

Full bodied with some pale character too it, can feel overbearing in its texture, but does have taste and flavours.

Draught at the Bricklayers Arms, Putney, 8th April 2011. Gold with very little head. Light, perfumy nose, fruity too. In the mouth, there’s tangerine and lemony bitterness. Flat but good bitter finish. Hints of marmalade, good bite.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of caramel and grassy hops. Similar flavours. Moderate carbonation and bitterness. Very drinkable.
