From the bottle @ The Bangkok Burger Co., Bangla Road, Phuket, Thailand. Amazed that I struggled to find this one throughout the island, so a good change from Singha it made. The first and only bottle to make it into a glass was made with my hand held up to say that ’No, I don’t want ice in my beer!’ Loose, persistent white head of foam atop a bright yellow gold body that is quite effervescent. Interesting aroma of honey, mint, lemon zest and pear drops atop a grainy, bready malt base. Good flavour though the body is lean and light with racy carbonation and a gassy CO2 finish. The mint of the aroma dances across the palate as does a strange note of aniseed that even my partner picked up on. Quite bready and grainy as was oddly expected with a sourish citrus backend to balance it out. Brewed to the Deutsches Reinheitsgebot it is not as it does use Jasmine rice, but this had no effect in bringing it down. Must have had this in top form as one lead to another, and another as we sat people watching the street of Bangla as it came to life in the afternoon. Refreshing! (33cL, BB 15/01/13)

33cl bottle at Mulligans bar in Bangkok. Sweet and malty aroma. Some bitterness, a bit more than usual down here I think, more like a cheap European lager. Quite nice in this part of the world. (2012-05-14)

Bottle- Pours a pale golden color with a small head that quickly fades to bits of lacing. Mild aroma of grain and hint of sweetness. Pretty bland. Taste is a mild sweetness with some grain. Nominal bitterness and a clean finish. Pretty bland. Light body, crisp, smooth and somewhat refreshing. Very bland Euro lager. Goes best in tropical climate.

Light yellow, short-lived bright white head. Inoffensive dry cereal aroma and flavor. Light body, lively carbonation, and soft on the palate.

15 apr 2012, bottle. Light yellow, clear, some steady bubbles. Skunky, slightly bitter nose. Thin/med body, a bit creamy, faintly fizzy. Sweet, tangy bitterness. Like a cross b/w cider and sweet lager. Ugh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

When you need to say PHUKET, this is the beer. I say PHUKET it all the time. PHUKET, get me a BLATZ! Very clever of them to christen their beer as a curse word. I kept telling my waitress to PHUKET, and she eyed me with the disdain of the lost & forlorn. PHUKET! I say and hoist a Blatz!

This is a sub-par beer. It is ok for easy drinking. Better than Bud, Miller and all other macrobrews. There is a slight hop/skunk smell to it. A decent lager taste.

Green bvottle poured a clear pale yellow with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of skunk, straw and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of straw, bread and a hint of citrus with a crisp finish.
