(500ml bottle thanks to crusian) hazy amber with a tan creamy head. Nose of apple, raisin bread and cinnamon. Taste of apple, cracker, and stale bread. Dry, grainy linger, medium carbonation and a bit skunky on the palate.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[2808-20100316] 500mL bottle. Sweet cardboard haystack aroma has a strange strong hint of mango. Slightly hazy, amber brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Fruity malt grain flavour is sweet overall with an odd mango finish. Medium body has an odd bitterness. Weird.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2008 Bottle. Clear amber with decent white head. Clean caramel malt soon becomes obscured by acetone aromas. Mmmmm diacetyl on top of caramel malt. Doh! Carbonation is medium, with decent mouthfeel. Some nutty flavors but flawed, with acridity and acetone in finish. Am thinking we got a skunked bottle, purchased @ Sackville, NB govt store. Sampled again with only slightly higher ratings and averaged together...

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
500 ml bottle from New Brunswick Liquor Corporation on King Street, Saint John, New Brunswick (May 2007) served at cellar temperature from a Samuel Smiths pint glass. A frothy medium-bubbled buff head descends gracefully into a small puddle atop the hazy medium amber body.....at first the aroma gives a whiff of butterscotch, uh oh, but this is quickly added to by a lovely cidery scent, and the resulting buttery-apple smell is quite charming, with a light earthy-funky hoppiness backing it up for more pleasure....the body is nutty, lightly fruity (apricots, cherries) and offers a nice level of carbonation, but alas it is also extraordinarily thin and watery, there is so little malt that the flavors just sag and disappear in a thin mess with a light brackish/salty quality at the finish that doesn’t help matters any. A nice start, but on the whole not very appealing, and it gets progressively cloying, syrupy and somewhat unclean as it warms (though less watery, I guess). Not a fan of this brewery thus far....

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle courtesy of Okbeer: Poured a cloudy dirty brown color ale with a nice foamy head with some good retention. Aroma of malt with a light floral aroma. Taste is lightly sweet with some subtle floral hops. Body is fuller then expected with some adequate carbonation. Well done session ale that stays within the style parameter.
