This original ale combines the wheat beer traditions of Germany and Belgium with our English open fermentation process. The result is a vibrant, refreshing summer ale highlighted by gentle spice and citrus notes.

On tap at Red Herring, St Andrews. Clear pale amber with a tiny short lived white head. Nose is grain, light honey, light toffee and a hint of grass and spice. Flavour is similar but quite subdued with a light sweetness and light+ bitterness and light spice. Mouth is quite thin with soft carbonation. Inoffensive. 6/2+/6-/2+/11

Pours a hazy straw colour with tiny, fast dissipating head. Aroma is of wheat, honey, spice, corn, and cereal. Tastes of honey, spice, and finishes with cereal and corn. Has a light crisp body with low carbonation. It has a dry vinous finish. Corn flavour is a little too dominant with this beer.

Jaune brillante avec une moyenne robe blanche. L’arôme du blé, malt léger, céréales et houblon floral. En bouche c’est le même, mais peu du corps. Bonne eu rafraîchissante mais rien de spéciale.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma is mostly sweet caramel with just a hint of citrus. Flavour is quite sweet, mostly caramel with some bread and bubblegum notes. A lot of flavour for the ABV, but that's not really a good thing here. Pretty disappointing, and I wasn't expecting much.

This was not bad. Darker than pale lager body, almost amber, nice head and lacing. Aroma is grainy, plus citrus, a touch tart/spice, earthiness. Overall, a pretty nice wheat ale. I was surprised when I poured and tasted this, as it actually had flavour and depth.

Boring stuff. Tastes almost like a standard macrobrew pale lager. A bit of grain and citrus in the nose and palate...but that’s about it.

Poured from bottle. Arome of wheat and cough drop. Pours a hazy pale with white head. Taste is light sour. Medium body, oily texture, somewhat astringent finish. Not impressed with the first taste, the cough syrup flavour seemed rather strong at first, but faded somewhat after that initial sip.

One whiff, one taste and I am getting lots of butter and corn. Yes, there are some gentle spices and very faint notes of nondescript citrus fruit. I still kind of enjoy this lil’ ditty, it is rather refreshing with a mellow and smooth body and lightly prickly carbonation. The sweetness is cut nicely by the vague citrus hops. As a Summer sipper, not too shabby but I wouldn’t go buy these again. Sure beats macro junk.
