COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This original ale combines the wheat beer traditions of Germany and Belgium with our English open fermentation process. The result is a vibrant, refreshing summer ale highlighted by gentle spice and citrus notes.

On tap at the garrison ale house in Fredericton. Piscatory will be mad but I didn’t take copius notes so am letting down the rate beer community. Sorry

500 ml bottle - pours clear gold with a thin white head that soon fades to nothingness. Arome very light, sweet - green apple, honeyish malt. Flavour similarly light - not much more than sweat malt, a hint of wheat, light fruit. Slightly spicy finish. A decent, if bland, summer quaff.

500 ml bottle, from NBLiqour. Pours clear blonde in colour, with big white head. Aroma and taste are somewhat wheaty. Decent. Odd yeast or malt here.

500 ml bottle from Alcool NB Liquor. Pours a clear yellow with decent-sized lasting white head. Aroma is biscuity with some mild lemon scents. Taste is quite bready with lemon and light spicing. Body approaching medium. Fine carbonation. Refreshing but also has a little character to it.

500ml bottle. Pours clear, slightly off-macro lager yellow with a bubbly white head that leaves a little lace. Nose is a bad confusion of wheat, citrus and spice that comes off slightly poisonous. A little more reasonable in the mouth with a more robust body than expected but it’s still got this weird medicinal vibe that’s quite off putting. I don’t know if this is an off bottle or just a bad brew. May have to try again...against my better judgement.

I drank this striaght out of the bottle after climbing to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain in Campbellton NB. I’m assuming it looks decent, so I’m giving the appearance a 3/5. Flavours were very pleasing after a 2km slog up and down a mountain: sweetly wheaty, with prominent melon and citrus fruit, and a very nice subtle spiciness. Maybe it was the circumstances under which I enjoyed it, but this is probably the best beer by this little maritime micro!

Aroma: first impression is very doughy, mellows to caramel. Appearance: clear. Flavour: drinkable, but i found neither the citrus nor spice notes to be particularly present. Palate: I found the first sips to have an inconsequential finish, later finish was on the bitter side.

From bottle. Citrus, honey and syrupy aroma. very clear light golden colour. Thin white lace. Initial flavour was strong in citrus. Brief hint of tropical fruits and watermelon. Thin texture yet very refreshing and enjoyable ale.
