Wow! Diacetyl City with hints of vinegar. These guys need to clean up their act.

This was a fine Picaroon’s doozy. Light straw with a thin white head with wheat, yeast, honey and some muskiness on the nasal. Taste is sweet honey with a bitter, wheaty finish. It has a medium mouthfeel and overall is quite a fine beer.

I’m not huge on pilseners, but this one did make me feel pretty good. Poured a golden straw with a little head. Aroma was of wheat, grass, and honey. Tasted of pale malts, honey, and a little bit of apple in there. Had a medium body with low carbonation. Aftertaste was pleasantly sweet and it hid its alcohol well.

Bottle to pint glass Apple, yeast, and malt. Pours a transparent light yellow with a little carbonation, and a long lasting 1 cm fluffy and creamy white head. The taste is malt, grains, some lemon, and some hoppy bitterness.

pours unclear bright yellow with a frothy white head, good retention and nice lacing patterns. floral and dusty bretts, citrus and dry herbs, fairly malted - hint of bread, bold green and citrus finish. average carbonation, light body - oily. unintentional bretts and a pleasant surprise.. rating is obviously biased by bugs’ presence.

Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de céréales en arrière goût.

I think I have a very different taste in beers from other raters. I am enchanted with Picaroons. I live in California and am sad I can’t get my hands on it!

Prolly biassed a bit cause this is most likely my favourite beer label of all time, and because this was the precursor to me getting on the pilsner train these days after the long arduous Russian Imperial Stout Season (poor me). It’s nice to have a 7% Imperial Pilsner kicking around though. If only this were available in Ontario. Thankfully my dad brought a little shipment back from Christmas with grandpa. This could be my perfect summer beer. Hoppy, high ABV, but so freakin refreshing. More refreshing than Pilsner Urquell, which I love, but is by no means as refreshing. Light tasting with full intense flavour, and still decent chewiness for the palate. Aroma: grass, flowers, and honeysuckle salad. WTF?! Hey, whatevs; FEELS GOOD.

Pours a hazy golden colour with big white head lacing the glass nicely. Aromas consist of sweet pale malts, a trace of diacytal, noble hop presence. Flavours of crisp maltiness, light bitterness, some sweetness. Easy drinking for 7 percent. Refreshing.

Pours a cloudy golden correct with a frothy white head & nice sticky lacing. Aroma of yeast, some diacetyl & sweet honey. Taste is yeast, light butterscotch and a nice hoppy bitterness. Nice smooth easy drinking beer, but for the style they missed the mark with having diacetyl in the aroma and flavor.
