500ml bottle. Pours a deep brown with a tan head that lasts. Weird sour coffee on the nose with something....green. Strange. The same kind of weirdness on the palate. The body is too light. Not as much of a mess taste wise but there’s really nothing going on.

Large bottle from VITI @ The Met in New West. Pours black with a generous tan head. A nice balance of malt, a bit of fruitiness and very noticeable bitterness; the bitterness resulting from the heavy roasting of the malts, not from hops. A very nice porter.

500 ml bottle. Pours black with medium whitish head. Aroma of chocolate powder and cereal. Metallic slightly sour taste up front with light acidic coffee notes to follow and slight bitter finish. Not spot on and not one to repeat.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Tessic (748) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 5, 2012
This porter poured a deep black colour with a big, bold, tan coloured head. Light lacing with scents of caramal, coffee, cloves and a faint hint of vanilla. First sip was smooth and flavourful but not as thick a mouthfeel as expected. Flavours of coffee, molassass and burnt brown sugar most prodominant. Finish is extra malty with coffee flavour lingering with a light hop taste. Very nice!

On tap at the garrison ale house in Fredericton. Piscatory will be mad but I didn’t take copius notes so am letting down the rate beer community. Sorry

500ml bottle. Porter with a frothy off white head, complex bitter and sweet flavour make it hard to pin down. You can really taste the dog.

500 ml bottle from NBLC. Pours deep brown, with a hint of ruby, nice big tan head. Aroma and taste are nice roasty, slightly nutty malt. Not bad.
