pours a pale yellow with thin, quickly dissipating head. light carbonation. aromas of flowers and bread. light mouthfeel with lots of yeast and mild hops. finishes with some bitterness. excellent summer thirst-quencher. very similar to their blonde ale with a bit more flowery-hop taste.

Pale golden, lightly hazy with a thin white head. The nose is quite spice with lots of floral heather character. A bit of wheaty flavour along with a softly fruity backbone. Quite well integrated - particularly at this low ABV. Slightly dusty but in an interesting way. I quite enjoyed this.

Shared to me via Atheist_Peace. Pours a hazy golden colour with good head retention. Aromatic aroma and flowery but there is some yeast or honey like note in there, also caramel and malts. Medium to light body, I do get some weird yeastyness on the palate as well as some sourness .Other than some malts and some honey there isnt much here. Glad I tried it none the less.

Hazy dark golden pour with a good amount of head that sticks around amply. Nose has floral and caramel notes and not much else really. More of the same on the palate with a certain tangy sourness that I’m not convinced is supposed to be there but does add an interesting dimension. Interesting but I doubt I’ll ever drink this again.

Clear golden pour with a frothy white head. Fresh aromatic, heather honey aroma. Crisp texture. A little weak in body but very refreshing. Sweet honey, hint of heather in flavour. Nice beer.

Pours a clear golden color like the typical lagers. Head disapears quikly. Aroma is mostly bread, cereal and a little floral. Medium carbonation an it has some sort of creamy feel to it. Kind of feels like a typical lager but it is a bit better.

Easily the best thing out of Picaroons in the last few years. It has the signature Picaroons taste but the heather makes it!

(Rating #5204)

500 ml bottle from NB Liquor. Pours a nice golden-blonde colour with medium white head. Aroma is herbal, floral. As for the taste, that’s where it’s getting problematic. To me, it tasted like firewood or soap, or a combination of both. Didn’t like it at all. Skip this one.

Bottle, shared with my wife. This is an interesting excersise in rating for me. Like some other raters here, I incorrectly assumed that this would be a spin on a Scottish ale or at least a cool traditional style ale. In the end, it is a mild, clean, lightly floral pale ale that was quite enjoyable. I’m going to rate it as such, since it isn’t the beers fault that I had incorrect preconceptions of what it would be. But I will say : where is the heather? You would never guess this was brewed with heather.

500 ml bottle from ABNL. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with thin white cap. Aroma is definite heather on tap of indistinguishable blonde ale. Taste likewise. Body on the thin side. The heather is interesting, but the overall result is disappointing.
