Draft... Hazy, burnt orange ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Decent retention. Earthy, spicy, citric nose. Excellent balance in flavor, but lacks any real character. Not offensive. Medium-bodied with prickly carbonation. Short, crisp, very clean finish. Refreshing, but more like a lager than an ale.

On tap at the brewpub. The most distinctive of the beers on offer, if a bit atypical for a spring ale. Amber colour, with a distinct dry malt edge to the aroma and flavour. But hop levels were low and, like all of the beers I tried, clean but lacking punch. Entirely drinkable though.
