4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Paradiso Georgetown. Quite the oddity. Served in a snifter with a gorgeous bright, hazy orange body leaving quite the sheety lace. Beautiful. Aroma is all Brett, candied ginger, hay, farmhouse, fresh lemon, fresh dough. Body has been drained of sugars and left with earthy spice, driftwood, barn, ginger, spritzy lemon. Dry palate. Powerful carbonation. Amazing. I could drink this all day. Probably the closest to an Orval clone I’ve tried. It doesn’t look like this was meant to be Brett infected, but damn, they should keep it this way. An unintended masterpiece?

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
7/17/10 notes: Appearance is cloudy and light gold with a small white head. Aroma has ground grain, hay, and lemon zest. Flavor is balanced and light, with nuances of wheat, bread through the middle. Stays pretty mild on the palate, but the finish shows herbal, soil-like notes reminiscent of bitters. Don’t know if that is the absinthe peeking through. Interesting, but I found the finish distracting an un-integrated.

Bevuta all’Irish pub di Quinto (GE) dal bicchere di Gian. Profumo erbaceo e leggermente floreale, per il resto è una chiara semplicissima, un pò amara nel finale.. nulla di speciale
