(Bottled) Hazy greenish yellow with a medium, pillowy-foamy, lemonadey head. Lemony-spicy-yeasty nose, like a mix of witbier and Belgian blonde. Flavor is quite fruity, dry and peppery-spicy with a dry, somewhat bitter finish. Light to medium body, a bit fizzy carbonation. Pleasantly dry and quite flavorful for the ABV. Not a classic, though.

Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: This beer pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Tart apple aroma with notes of metal and malt. Medium body with flavors of apple, spices, malt and yeast. I really could not pick up any absinthe. The finish is fruity with a malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle sample at Dogbrick’s Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09. Pours a cloudy lemonade yellow with a thin white head. Nose is apple skin. Flavor is lemon, granny apple skin and a malty finish. An odd beer, but a good change of pace from the pale lagers.

Bottled. Aroma is very doughy, lightly bitter, with a clear sign of the a Trappist yeast. Complex and dry. Clean and dry, floral and grassy with none of the horrible wormwood bitterness. Excellent.
