Bevuta a Diano Marina, spettacolare è dir poco!

05/05/2012 Brasserie 4:20, bottle shared by Mario (thanks tabernae!). Rossa rubino, bellissima, viva e intensa, appena torbida, schiuma bianco sporca, poco abbondante. Naso fantastico, note di legno, ciliegia, vaniglia, mentuccia. In bocca è magnificamente equilibrata, appena dolciastra, con un bell’acido deciso, un tocco legnoso, un finale astringente, secco e pulito. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Magnifica sour ale.

Bottle, believe it or not, at the Great British Beer Festival. Go figure. Hazy amber color, thin beige head, solid lacing. Aroma of sour butterscotch. Taste is similar with hefty sourness, medium funk, hi carbonation. Good stuff.

33cl bottle. Pours a clear copper colour with a medium beige head. Aroma is sour, little fruitiness and good amount of wood. Taste is funky with a good amount of sourness. Some wood and hints of dark fruits. Willd yeasts all over the plce from the nose to the mouth. Medium bodied and good carbonation. Really complex and tasty brew.

Bottle shared at GBBF 2011, Day 2. Pours a clearish amber with a faint, filmy head. Sour, funky nose, some berries and grapes. Light to medium sweet flavor with a great, refreshing sour tartness. Notes of fruits and funk. Medium bodied with light, smooth carbonation. Has a clean, tangy finish. Overall a superb beer.

330mL thanks to Travlr. The pour is a hazy deep orange with a weak, acid cut off-white head. Nose is very nice nectarine and fuzzy peach with serious impending sourness. Taste is very good: peach flesh, sharp and tangy nectarine and stonefruit. Sharp and lactic palate. Pretty amazing. Another underrated/secret sour from Piccolo Birrificio that is just a knock out. Delicious.

Bottled@GBBF2011. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sour wood, some mild sweet malts, mild berryish notes as well as some slight fruityness. Flavour is fruits, sour/tart wood along with some mild earthyness.

At GBBF 2011. Bottle. Cloudy mid brown colour. Lasting thin beige. Wow that is pretty sour beer. Really good woody sourness. Not a huge amount of genuine funk but love the infected nature of it. Touch of sour strawberries. Once got rid of the carbonation it was sour as hell. Beautiful if a touch too woody. Lovely sourness though really good palate refresher. Good

From bottle at GBBF 2011. Cloudy, yellowish copper, creamy head. Intense berryish sour aroma with otes of wood as well. ints of caramel, but otherwise quite a bit of yoghurt and berries. Nice sour ale.
