Ungstrup (14762), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 15, 2009 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off white head - very lightly carbonated. The aroma has notes of malt and citrus and some yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit, malt, caramel, yeast, and a bit of phenol, leading to a dry yeasty finish. Oakes (8080), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 25, 2009 Flat pour. Beige-yellow colour. No real nose, light herbs maybe. Woody, grapey, herbal taste. Flat but refreshing. Moderate herbal finish. argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Dec 6, 2008 Draft -- Hazy apple juice body topped by white head with nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, straw, some orange hoppiness, light medicinal. Taste is medium sweet, straw, some bread, orange/lemon, light medicinal. Light-medium body. hopscotch (5446), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Apr 14, 2008 Bottle... Hazy yellow ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Good retention. Very sweet, herbal and floral aroma. Medium-bodied with a coarse mouthfeel and intermediate carbonation. The well-balanced flavor bursts at the seams with herbs, spices and breadsy notes. Moderate, pale barley malt and honey sweetness mingles well with the dryness of the malted wheat. Spicy, Mojave-dry finish. Not entirely my thing with all the coriander, but still a quality saison. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA May 4, 2008 bottle-pours a blotchy offwhite head with cloudy amber color. Aroma is mild spice, citrus-orange. Taste is dry medium malt, mild spice, citrus-orange. Soft carbonation. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Dec 11, 2006 Generous yellowish head over hazy orange-golden beer. Citrus, lime peel, a bit of non-barley grains impression. Good bitter-citrus, going over into a short malty flavour, turning again to a bitter, burning taste, good balance. Well bodied, tart ending, long citrussy aftertaste. Apt to the idea, one to try. JoeMcPhee (4911), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jul 5, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep golden-amber beer. Thin white head. Aroma is quite nice. Rich clovey spice with cinnamon and a rich fruity character. Orange, cherry, blueberry and a soft spiciness as well. Flavour is quite rich, but the beer is still pretty well-attenuated. Orange peel, toast and a lingering wheaty spicy flavour. Lingering berries and herbs. Lightly minty and herbal on the back. As it warms, the yeast gets quite spicy and reminds me of Unibroue... continues to evolve and becomes more fruity as it continues to warm. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Apr 28, 2008 Bottle: Lightly hazy orange blonde color, light puffy head and some lacing. Nose of light coriander, snappy thin noble hops and a grassy light spicyness which could be spices, could be yeast. The flavor is brittle with some light matiness bordering on caramel, a touch of butterscotch and some corianderness, finishes thin. Hmmm, not quite worth the price on this one. $7.99 for a 300ml? Hmmm.
