Cask. Straw ale with a nice white head. Nose of mango and strawberry maltiness. Fruity and hoppy in the mouth, zests, lemon, light mango and summer fruits. Strong malt presence.

Cask @ The Bon Accord. Pale golden yellow colour, reasonable head. Resin citrus & tropical fruit aroma & flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Great golden ale.

On cask at The Heriot-Watt Beer Festival. Pours a golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, yeast and caramel. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. A lingering lemon citrus character and a dry finish.

Tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival in October 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear gold in colour with a thin white head. Sweet pink grapefruit note in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with fruity zesty notes of fresh pink grapefruit and creamy lychees. Wheaty cereal note evident in the dusty floral flavours present in the dry bitter aftertaste. Finish is slightly malty with sweet juicy fruit flavours. A decent session Golden Ale.

Pale golden yellow, weak white head. Lemony hop aroma, honey and a little grassy. Dry taste, citrusy and a green grassy hop flavour matched by a dry, biscuity malt flavour. A long, dry, citrusy finish.

Certainly hoppy - has a crispness and clarity to it which is nice and refreshing. Easy drinker.

Cask, Hawkshead BF. A very fine pale gold beer, with lots of good lager characteristics. Soft palate, sweetness in the nose, hints of melon, faintly sugary and pilsner-esque.

Cask at the Magpie & Crown, poured a straw-gold with a fluffy lacy white head, floral hops and some citrus on the nose, plenty of light fruity malt and a little butterscotch on the palate, the finish is dryly bitter. A very nice golden ale.

Cask - The Duke of Wellington, Norwich. First & best of the lot I had here. Poured a bright yellow with a small though lasting, creamy white head leaving a uniform lacing. Toasty malt, lemon & floral hop aromas, some nuttiness at the back. Zesty lemon, grassy, bit of toastiness and decent, mild grapefuit character. Almonds in the aftertaste following a lingering, dry bitterness. Soft, low carbonation, light-medium body with a good length finish.
