4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I’ll confess I’m biased, Marynka is one of my favourite hops, and Pictish are one of my favourite breweries. But, ignoring that, this is still a superb beer - typical Pictish, again proving they’re one of the few British breweries that know what hops are for. Never mind balance (for balance, read bland), this is another hop-dominated bitter from Lancashire’s finest, from the first sniff to the long-lasting aftertaste

Cask (Market Porter, London)
Visually nothing unexpected - but the aroma is one that jumps out of the glass at you - this one says hop all over. Grapefruity hops at that. In the aroma and the taste, and the finish. Yet pretty well balanced. Pictish know what to do with hops yet again.
