COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - November to March.
A marvellously complex black beer. A mellow bitterness and subtle hop aroma balance the robust amber and roast malt flavours.

NWAF 23 Jan 13. Svart. Lavt luftig skum. God sviskearoma. Søt. Smaken er tørr frukt med litt røstethet i bakgrunnen. Bra integrert. Litt tørr ettersmak.

Cask at Knott Bar, Manchester. Dark brown shade with a creamy cap. Malty, coffee-accented aroma and taste with hints of cola and treacle on the tongue. Ends slightly dry. Mouthfeel is just keeping above thin. Nice porter if not very attention-grabbing.

Handpulled cask at NWAF 2013, half shared with Finn. Clear, jet black body. Naked at the top. Roasted dark malty nose. Well blended flavour of dark fruits and dark malts. Bitter liquorice to the finish. Pleasant (Manchester, 23.01.2013).

Back at The Crown Inn, Stockport for the third time, 02/02/13. Sulphur, coal and Twiglet aroma with a hint of cocoa. Glossy black with a low dense tan head. Still, glossy, soft with a lactic, mocha and charcoal character. Dusty cocoa afters. Powdery, a touch dried-fruity, full of lace. Pretty good.
