chicagodri (553), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 2, 2007 A very hoppy pale ale. The aroma is mild compared to the flavor of the beer. Crisp and refreshing. Lots of citrus. I am a fan. I have had too many pints of this a couple of times :)
Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 8, 2008 Objectively speaking:
A remarkably well-brewed pale ale with brilliantly extracted hop flavours.
I like:
Full-malted, but the sharp, cleansing carbonation attenuates the thickness impression. Sandy, spicy, resinous nose. Clean, bready, toasted malts. Rather complex hop profile. Very interesting for one so small. Beautiful hazy amber colour. Lacy white head. Great balance between dryness and sweetness.
I dislike:
While attenuating thickness, the hard bubbles diminish drinkability because they do bite!
hopson (501), Williamsville, New York, USA Aug 4, 2008 Draft at BP- Wow. This one is so good, I wish I could have taken it home. Deliciously hoppy, and slightly out of balance, this amber colored beer was great from first sniff to last drop. Well done. Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 27, 2008 GABF 2007. A hazy light golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet grassy combined with notes of peaches, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry grassy and bitter finish. Walt (2287), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 28, 2008 Pour is hazed orangey amber with a thin dense off white head...smell is grapefruity and citric with a faint hint of sweet caramel...taste is stsrongly bitter with lots of grapefruit...lightly grainy finish... WickerBrew (283), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 20, 2008 Very hoppy for a pale, not a whole lot of fruit or sweetness going on, and thats all good news. Maybe the best pint I have had at Piece, although some of the higher abv’s that come in snifters are pretty good.
