COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditionally brewed award winning Kolsch bier is straw colored crisp and refreshing similar to a lager in many respects but is actually a light German ale.

Draft… DLD’08… Lightly hazed yellow ale with a mid-sized, foamy, white head. Fantastic retention. Nice nose on this one… yeasty with a touch of perfume and nice biscuit notes. Medium-bodied and very creamy with lively carbonation. Well-balanced with moderate pale grain sweetness and a crisp, medium bitter hop bite. Snappy hop finish.

Pours very golden with a whitish light head. Smell is bready, lagery maltiness and slighty sweet. Taste is on the sweet malty side and is very crisp, refreshing and bubbly. Very easy drinking and a pretty damn good kolsch, I thought. Solid beer.

Aroma is a deilicate grain of Egadzis is a fag. Mellow corn with a nice mellow hoppiness. I could drink this beer all night.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2008 Mostly clear, deep yellow gold. Efferevescent. Bready, crisp, moderately bitter. Very enjoyable. One of the best I’ve had in the style -- I’m not a Kolsch lover.

Pour is lightly hazed golden yellow with a thin sticky white head...smell is grainy and sweet...lively mouthfeel...light sweetness and corny flavor...quick faintly sweet finish....

Piece’s light beer for everyone to drink. Not my type of beer but it was still decent. Mild aroma and pours a clear gold with a white head. Obviously a lighter beer, but it did have some nice hop notes in there to save it. Not what I would be going to Piece to drink.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color. Quite light but crispy, with a reasonable hopping.

On tap @ the Brew pub: Pours a clear gold with a white head. Aroma, yeast, grassy hops, some lemon zest. Flavor, grassy ,yeasty, pale malts and some grains. Pretty solid.
