Sampled at GABF 2012 with Andrew and Moreau. Pours a cloudy orange body with white lacing. Aroma is herbal and pine hop. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of bitter citrus, grass and pine hop. Overall a good APA.

Growler, pours a crisp golden color. Smells of simcoe hops. Taste is very hoppy, bitter but not mouth puckering. It's an easy going drink. I wish we could share it with the world but it's brewery only. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

On tap at piece obviously... Pours. Hazy cidery brown hue and topped with a wispy white head... Aroma of pungent juicy citrus and tropical fruit forward hops. Clean and assertive with a pale malt base which basically fall to the wayside... Herbal citrusy hop assault upfront in the flavor. Somewhat clean but has a somewhat touch of buttery note that surfaces midway through and continues on late which eventually fades and continues in with a tropical fruit focus. Medium to just shy of that body-wise. Still fairly pungent and juicy.

Draft at Piece. Finally a new beer for me... Pours a nice looking, slightly hazed gold, frothy white head. The nose is bright and fruity, citrus and tropical fruit, light resin. Some soft and toasty malt as well. On tasting, an easy drinking Apa. Medium-high bitterness, light sweetness. Fruity and resiny hops. Dry finish. Solid.

Tap at the brewpub. Light orange pour. Awesome huge aroma of citrus and floral hops - truly excellent. Nice balanced bitter kick. Awesome beer!

12oz pour at Piece. Orange pour with a decent khaki head. Strong citrus hop aroma with plenty of tropical fruits and hints of caramel. Malt and caramel come through lightly on the flavor with more citrus and tropical fruits in there. Pretty good.

Hazy pale pour. No head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Grassy pine finish. Good body and nicely balanced.

draft. wonderfully dry and fruity hop nose and flavor, vibrant tartness and zesty, snappy hop acid (lemon + orange pith, tropical and floral, no resin) with fluffy carbonation. clean pale malt is moderately-to-heavily dry with bright, full, quenching malt acid. surprisingly well made and levels above Alpha King sampled side-by-side (which in recent years is much too caramel-heavy, vegetal and goopy for my tastes). probably one of the better low-to-medium alcohol hop showcase beers in the Chicago area, if clean, snappy pale malt and bright American floral / fruit hops are what you dig.
