A heavy name for a light beer. A classic American pale ale. Brewed for friends lost, friends found, family, or just the guy sitting next to ya. Take a load off and enjoy. Cheers!

Couple drafts on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Been meaning to get out and try this for awhile. Pours a richer faintly hazed amber orange hue. Firely glow throughout, summer sunset meets my eyes, even in this environment. A frothy loose whitish head atop dies to a film laces small. Aromas are richer deep grapefruit, some florals, a touch resinous. Very grapefruit juice and rind driven, touches of bready and almost a toasty malt feel. Some lemon, grass. Initial is thinner, a light body meets a firm hop bitterness. Strong grapefruit and rind, juice and lemons. Touches of grass, florals, gentle bready malts presence just kisses gently even as we move through the middle. Light bodied, richly bitter and hop flavored. Perhaps a bit thin but quite "crushable". Dry and grapefruit ridden. Pretty nice beer albeit a bit thin. Nice very fresh and vibrant offering here, if a bit one sided and one dimensional as far as that flavor profile. Still, Iíd buy it a bunch.

Enjoyed on tap at Piece. Served in a nonic pint. A: Pours a chilled amber color with a thin white head forming on the pour. Recedes slowly to a thin ring leaving behind some lace. S: Citrus with some light cracker malt backing. A hint of sweetness and dried grass. T: More like the nose, but a touch of lingering bitterness which broke up the sweetness from the malts. Slightly dank as well with a kiss of citrus. M: Extremely crushable. I could destroy a growler and then some. Light bodied with a medium carbonation and a very clean finish. O: An enjoyable APA. Not in the upper echelon of APAís that Iíve had, but a great local APA that is extremely drinkable. Iíll put this in the Daisy Cutter category. Itís good and Iíll definitely have a pint when itís back on, but Iíll shoot of a Zombie Dust over either. Serving type: on-tap

On tap: The aroma consists of citrus, tropical fruits, grapefruit, and herbal notes. Itís a hazy dull amber with a small white head that leaves some sporadic fine webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of tropical fruits. The finish has moderate grapefruit, light lemon, and a touch of herbal notes. Itís light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, this is really tasty and easy drinking. I could drink a lot of this.

Growler, pours a crisp golden color. Smells of simcoe hops. Taste is very hoppy, bitter but not mouth puckering. It's an easy going drink. I wish we could share it with the world but it's brewery only. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

On tap at piece obviously... Pours. Hazy cidery brown hue and topped with a wispy white head... Aroma of pungent juicy citrus and tropical fruit forward hops. Clean and assertive with a pale malt base which basically fall to the wayside... Herbal citrusy hop assault upfront in the flavor. Somewhat clean but has a somewhat touch of buttery note that surfaces midway through and continues on late which eventually fades and continues in with a tropical fruit focus. Medium to just shy of that body-wise. Still fairly pungent and juicy.

Draft at Piece. Finally a new beer for me... Pours a nice looking, slightly hazed gold, frothy white head. The nose is bright and fruity, citrus and tropical fruit, light resin. Some soft and toasty malt as well. On tasting, an easy drinking Apa. Medium-high bitterness, light sweetness. Fruity and resiny hops. Dry finish. Solid.
